Product Description

Say goodbye to ironing and step into the world of steaming. Dry cleaners have been utilizing the amazing benefits of steaming for years and the Steam Station allows you to access the same professional results. The Steam Station presses dry steam into the fabric of your clothing, softening the fibers, and smoothing out wrinkles in a fraction of the time.

This revolutionary product produces powerful bursts of dry steam that gives your garments that crisp, fresh look. The Steam Station has a separate boiler located at its base, isolating the water and eliminating any water stains or damage to your garments. This separate boiler also allows the water to quickly reach a higher temperature and dramatically reduce your ironing time.

Although extremely powerful, the Steam Station iron will gently press your silks and delicate fabrics. Designed for your optimum comfort, it requires little to no arm pressure and can be used in a completely vertical position. The Steam Station?s amazing capabilities will catapult you from the tedious chore of ironing into the enjoyable activity of steaming, saving you time and providing superior results.

I am very fussy about my clothes and prefer to iron at home rather than send them out to the cleaners.

I have a home based sewing business and have been struggling with a regular steam iron for quite some time. Constant refilling and an abundance of water spots made ironing a nightmare. Finally decided to invest in a good steam ironing system. After much research, decided the Smartek would be the best buy for the money. I don't expect you to understand how a person can get excited over an iron, but I have to tell you I LOVE THIS! No more constant refilling or waterspots! It actually takes the drudgery out of ironing. If you do a lot of ironing, I highly recommend this purchase, you won't be disappointed. Thank you Smartek for a great product!

It was a toss up between this iron and the Rowenta DG5030 Pressure Iron and Steamer. The Rowenta at $50 more did not receive good reviews so I gave this one a try. The material and craftsmanship of the iron is below what an American company would put out on the market. The quality is similar to the as-seen-on-tv infomercial stuff. The plastics had burrs on the edges. The flat surfaces are not uniformly flat. The temperature knob is dark red on black, very difficult to see the settings.

With that said, the iron works like a champ. The quality and quantity of steam rivals my garment steamer Jiffy Steamer J-2000 Residential Series 1300-Watt Garment Steamer. The steam this iron puts out far exceeded my broken Rowenta. I've used it to iron a half dozen garments and not one drip...not one.

The iron takes about 5-10 minutes to warm up. Not really made for a quickie iron job.

It's not pretty to look at and it has only the temperature adjustment know on the iron, no steam adjustment no water level indicator, no auto shut-off. It is a utilitarian iron that does the job very well.

On a side note, the iron I received did not illuminate the 'steam ready' light. I thought the product was defective and I contacted the seller...no reply. I contacted Amazon customer service and explained to them about the light. Amazon offered to pay for the return shipping and full refund. I decided to take off the 8 screws and replace the bulb myself. When I opened up the iron I saw the problem. the light bulb had fell out of the socket. I took some silicone and glued it back...good as new. Amazon customer service is fantastic. The seller of the iron - SHARPER PRODUCTS never contacted me--you suck.

I bought this because we do quilting and that means a good deal of ironing. I like how much water the tank holds which has cut down on running back and forth to refill the iron. Also, holding it just above the fabric to steam and then releasing the steam button and ironing the steamed fabric dry really does make for a nice ironed finish. Note that there is no automatic shut off so you have to remember to turn the iron off. Also, the control knob on the iron is kind of hard to read. Be sure to turn all of the on buttons on including the one on the iron. If you have a lot of ironing to do you will appreciated this unit.

I ordered this iron & the heat light indicator didn't work. I sent it back & they sent me another one. The second one I received was even worse!! The light indicator worked but the iron handle heated up with the iron plate! I got burnt! I then contacted the company & they said they no longer have this model for they are discontinuing it! I am still waiting for my return label to mail it back & for my refund. What a waste of my time & money!
