I had browsed Amazon.com for other steamers and although the Smartek ST-X2 Professional Garment Steamer was a bit pricier, I think it's well worth it! My sister had a hand-held steamer that would splatter if you weren't careful. The nozzle attachment on this one is great - no more water blotches and spills. There's a nice detachable water container located at the base that's easy to remove and refill. Instructions say that you can have continuous steam for 70 minutes, which is great, but I haven't needed it that long. Wrinkles go away quickly and clothes look neatly pressed. Assembly was very easy and the equipment can easily be stored somewhere in the corner of a room. Love how this is portable with the wheels on the bottom. Overall, great buy and no regrets so far.

Boy, does this little machine ever save me time at the ironing board! Gives a very nice professional finish to garments. I like it so much I am ordering one for my daughter. Worth every penny spent.

Decent product if nothing goes wrong,

I bought the ST-X2 through another vendor and it worked very well. It started to break down after about 9-10 months of semi-regular use, but it was still under warranty. I returned the ST-X2 to SmarTek directly for an exchange.
That was when the real problems started. SmarTek USA's customer service (just 1 person, mind you) is abysmal at best. I have let messages which were rarely returned (because customer service was basically not available most of the time). The few instances I actually got a hold of customer service they said my exchange was processed and I should receive my replacement ST-X2 in 7 - 10 days. More than two weeks later, I still have not received it yet. While I recommend the product, its just not worth having to put up with such incompetence should anything go wrong with your steam cleaner.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I bought one for myself and liked the ease of ironing suits. But I only used it occasionally, maybe once a month. In the meantime, I bought one for my mother, who does much more ironing than I do. Within two weeks, it stopped steaming. After draining it and performing the cleaning recommended in the manual, it still wouldn't work. We discovered that the water in the plastic receptacle would not flow into the steamer container. I couldn't return it because I had purchased it several months earlier and took it to my mother, who lives in a different part of the country. Then when I returned home and tried to use my own steamer, it steamed for about two minutes and stopped working all together. Honestly, I'd used it about 10 times total. So not only was I out the money I paid for my mother's steamer, I was out the money for my own too. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

I have purchased items from Amazon for several years; however, this is my first review. This product is so exceedingly bad I needed to warn other unsuspecting buyers. I wish I would have taken note from the reviewer who noticed that many of the high reviews appear to be from the seller, as all the other reviews from those posters were for products from the same seller in which similar glowing remarks were made for the products. The product worked fine for the first two months, but after two months there would be long periods of time when steam would not come out. Now, after less than four months the steamer will not heat at all. $80 is a lot to pay for a product that will only work for two months.

This does the job quite well on things like slacks or sport coats that can't have an Iron on them, gets out wrinkles Great!
The steam is HOT! and does a good job of steam cleaning, a good deal for the money as I use it almost every day, Its tall, well made, and has a hanger on it to keep pants shirt and coat ready to steam. t

It works quickly and easily. It paid for itself the first week I had it. My husband does not pack his suits and sports jackets nicely for his return flights. Now I simply steam them and save $4.50 to $7.00 each. Figure 20 to 30 trips a year, 3 or 4 jackets each time it adds up nicely. Only have to dry clean occasionally. It's great for my stuff too, and curtains - much more
