By Cathy "S" (Mesa, AZ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Smarter Preschooler: Unlocking Your Child's Intellectual Potential (Paperback)
This is a "user-friendly" book that speaks to parents and educators alike. It covers a wide range of topics of interest for parents who want to be proactive in their children's lives. There are many research findings included in each topic with pertinent examples sprinkled throughout each chapter. There are lots of great "down to earth" ideas that parents can easily incorporate into their child's life. If you have questions about raising your preschooler, here's the book for you!

This review is from: The Smarter Preschooler: Unlocking Your Child's Intellectual Potential (Paperback)
This book was wonderful to read. As a father of three toddlers, it's very important to me to give my children the best possible chance at success. Although this book is focused on slightly older children, it's helped me turn almost every minute I spend with the kids into a learning opportunity. The best part is how straight forward and practical it is.
This book covers many topics, almost all backed by research. The authors discuss those activities that help my children learn, and those that don't. After making some adjustments suggested in the book, we're already seeing some positive results. This book is a great practical guide for maximizing a child's potential. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in their children's future.

Very Practical,
This review is from: The Smarter Preschooler: Unlocking Your Child's Intellectual Potential (Paperback)
As the mother of two young children I found this book was filled with practical ideas to help children reach their full potential while still developing a love of learning. It's not always easy to know when an environment is stimulating instead of suffocating and this book helped define some of those issues. It was filled with inexpensive and simple ideas that I believe will benefit my kids as they grow during these important preschool years.
