I've tried other types of indoor motion sensors and they work intermittently. This one works every time. Received it in great shape and earlier than expected.

The product works as advertized and I'm happy with it. Be sure to use a bulb with the recommended wattage.

Junk...I bought to use in a garage with a 10 foot ceiling. Will not activate unless within 1 foot of the sensor, even with all the sensitivities maxed. Save your money. The First Alert works fine but change bulbs before they blow. The sensor will blow too and then it is trash.

Using a Fingerhut 70" 4 legged floor lamp that has one bulb up & another one down....I put together several bulb extenders to clear the hooded lamp socket facing down, screwed in the motion sensor and a 60 watt type output LED bulb. the sensor is 5 feet above the floor. .. and near the bathroom door. on my return trip to the bedroom, the light goes on. when i come out of the bedroom, the hall senior light switch turn the hall light... but going the other way...i had to go half down the lawn in the dark. now i don't. i tried another motion detector, but it only worked on regular bulbs..... that would be inferring with watching television and etc.. the LED bulb does not glare and points toward the floor... making it better if it goes on when watch television or etc.
