3.0 out of 5 stars So, so
This product came defective but Amazon has a super defective returns policy so they allowed me to return it for a full refund as well as for shipping and handling. It seemed like fun, but it got pretty annoying. I wish there would have been more sounds.

This interested our daughter beginning around 3 months of age, although she didn't really play with it until she could hold onto its parts. There are several ways children can activate the sounds; when they put their hand inside the jar, when they put the shapes through the openings on the side, and when the nose is pressed. There's a switch to set the sounds to shapes or numbers (each "cookie" shape is numbered) so when put through the side openings, the jar will say "triangle" or "three," along with other words and sounds like "Yummy," "I love you," chimes, and giggles.

I think this toy is adorable, fun, and educational. Babies can enjoy the noises and toddlers can understand what they mean.

We got this for my son for Christmas when he was 6 months old. He liked the music and sounds but wasn't able to play with it much until he started crawling. He's now 11 1/2 months old and this is one of his favorite toys. He takes it out and plays with it everyday. I really like it because, in addition to teaching shapes, numbers, and colors, this is an excellent toy for developing motor skills. My son takes each block out one at a time and then puts them back one at a time and puts on the lid. This toy is a keeper and will NOT be in a garage sale soon.

This toy was a big hit at our house. With two toddlers, this toy has gotten lots of use. It has stood up to the challenge of toddlers, and is still intriguing to my 3-year old who thinks of it as a coffee maker(Oh, well!?). My 1-year old is still trying to figure out how the shapes go, but it provides music and sounds even if shape sorting success has not been mastered. The volume control is an added bonus. I have found this to be one of the best toys in our house. I have purchased it as gift for the children of several friends and they love it too.

We got this for my son's first Christmas when he was 7 months old. He didn't think too much of it at first, I think because it was one of his first talking toys it took him a little while to warm up to it. He would start to put his hand in, and the music would play, so he would take his hand out. I turned the toy off so he could practice taking the cookies out without the music, and he liked it much better. Now of course, he is 10 months old and likes the music, and pushes the nose to make it talk too. I like that it has both a shape and number mode, but I really wish it would say the colors too (though he has the Counting Sheep which does that). I'm glad it has a volume option, high or low--nothing in between, but good enough for me. Now that he's sitting up, he enjoys peering down into the cookie jar before deciding which ones to fish out, and which ones to put back in. He hasn't figured out how to put them in the sides yet, we're still working on that, but I am sure it takes time to learn, and I believe he will be playing with this for some time to come.

I bought this toy when my oldest daughter was about 9 months old. She loved it immediately. She played with it on an off for years. My youngest is now 18 months, and this toy has been one of her consistent favorites as well. It is still in perfect shape. I would highly recommend this toy to any parent. My girls have LOTS of toys, and most of them are played with little. This toy is well worth the very reasonable price. Five stars all-around.

This is the first toy my 12 month old goes for each morning. She has been playing with it since she first learned to sit around 6 1/2 months and it still hasn't lost it's appeal. She loves to push the "nose" button for the noises and make it play music by putting the shapes in and out of the top hole. She hasn't quite figured out how to put the shapes in the shape holes, but we're working on that and she is showing interest. I highly recommend this toy.

I work with several children with special needs between the ages of 18 - 36 months. The children have all been intriqued, exploring, touching the buttons, discovering the cause/effect relationship of putting their hand in the jar and hearing the music play. This toy can be used with children of different skill levels. For the more advanced child, it works with labeling shapes, colors and numbers. It's a great toy and appears to be durable.

We bought this toy for our son when he was only 5 months old knowing he wouldn't be quite ready to sort the shapes yet. As soon as he learned to sit up, he really enjoyed putting the shapes (and other toys!) in and out of the jar. Something that is a learning process for infants. He is now 15 months and STILL plays with this cookie jar! It is extremely durable. As I read in another review the womans voice is a bit "non-child-like" and our friends had also joked about how she talks! I would still rate this toy highly based on the fact that it seems to be one of the toys our son has gotten the most use out of.

My 19 month old has had this toy for 10 months now and plays with it every day. He loves pushing the shapes through the openings over and over and over! Before he learned which shapes fit into which openings, he loved just dropping them through the top and hearing the music play. This toy was well worth the money

This toy is great! I was having difficulty with getting my child to use shape sorters which is a very good skill for low tone babies that might have fine motor skill issues. I am a Mother of such a child. She loves this toy because when you put the shapes in you get feedback. It is very durable and I would recommend this toy to anyone. I also think the price is good for what it is as well. You will not be sorry with this purchase. Enjoy!
