Smart wool is a great producte. We purchased these on sale, thinking our child could use them. The XL is very short in the sleeves and torso. I would order XL for a child 8 years of age. Scale the sizes downward from there so you don't end up having to return it for size. Other than the sizing, the product is excellent quality. We love how soft it is and that it is so thin. Smart wool works great when you need to be warm and travel light.
