Imagine a group with harmonies influenced by gospel a cappella groups, and politics influenced by the Gorilla Girls. That's Mary Schmary. This album of all-original music reflects the schmaries' feminist spirit of humor and critical social analysis.

I find their music to be an incredibly fresh postmodern reinvention of a capella, far from the Stanford Glee club and the barbershop quartet. Special credits to the inventive songwriting skills of Cynsa Bonorris who is a hub of clever funniness. Big schmary fan.
