SmartyPants Kids Complete: Four Vitamins in One

SmartyPants Kids Complete combines four vitamins into one delicious serving of 100% Non-GMO gummies: a full multivitamin, EPA and DHA Omega 3s sourced from sustainable small fish populations, 150% RDI of Vitamin D3, the form of Vitamin D a child's body uses, and 67 microgram of Vitamin B12. SmartyPants was created by parents and entrepreneurs who wanted kids to get all the nutrients they needed without any of the bad stuff. We chose only the highest quality ingredients and most effective natural forms of key nutrients. We were sticklers about making sure our gummy vitamins were the right mix for kids’ bodies. SmartyPants vitamins are made in California in a GMP-certified facility and are tested for purity by an independent lab. We never use any fake or artificial flavors, sweeteners, preservatives, or dyes.

Organic, Natural, 100% Non-GMO Ingredients

SmartyPants Kids Complete contains only high-quality, non-GMO nutrients and fish oil from leading nutritional manufacturers who are USP and GMP certified, as well as organic sweeteners and natural flavors and colors. SmartyPants vitamins are made in California according to GMP safety standards, and every batch is tested for quality, purity, and nutrient levels using a third-party lab. In addition, all SmartyPants products meet or exceed California Prop 65 and U. S. FDA standards. Made with natural colors and flavors and no High Fructose Corn Syrup. The vitamins are also Gluten and Casein free. These pediatrician-approved vitamins are also lower in sugar than any other premium gummy and sweetened with just 5 grams of organic sugar per serving — that's 80% less than a glass of unsweetened apple juice.

What’s Not in SmartyPants Kids Complete

SmartyPants contains no High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) or artificial sweeteners because studies suggest that neither live up to the high standards we have set for our gummy vitamins. While many continue to debate the health effects of HFCS, the results already documented are cause enough for us to exclude it. So too with artificial sweeteners like aspartame. SmartyPants added only organic cane sugar to our gummies, avoiding the potential health risks of HFCS or artificial sweeteners. We also exclude all artificial colors, flavors, and artificial preservatives, which all may potentially carry health risks.

The Benefits of Multivitamins for Kids

While it is always preferable for kids to get what they need from their diets, the truth is, with the realities of soil depletion, increased consumption of processed foods, and busy lives, even the healthiest of us have a hard time getting enough nutrients from the foods we eat. That’s why multivitamins have been recommended by the Harvard School of Public Health and the American Medical Association to help get us the nutrients our diets don’t always provide.

The Benefits of Omega 3s for Kids

Well supported research suggests that Omega 3s can help build cell membranes in the brain, which may help brains develop and benefit cognitive function. Supportive but not conclusive research also shows that consumption of Omega 3 EPA and DHA may bolster heart health.

The Benefits of Vitamin D

Vitamin D plays a key role in the body’s absorption of calcium. Without Vitamin D, your child’s body may struggle to absorb the calcium received from their diet. Vitamin D may also strengthen and improve the immune system.

I should have read the fine print closer. This is a thirty day supply for ONE child. Dosage is FOUR PER DAY. Grrr. So I spent twenty dollars on a great product - kids say it tastes yummy which is hard to find in an omega gummy - but, with four kids, this $20 will last me one week.

Hi Katherine,

Thank you for your review! I'm sorry you were not satisfied with the dosage of the gummies! Our goal was to create an All-in-One gummy that would not only provide a full multivitamin + Vitamin D + Fish Oil, but have you and your kids asking to take their vitamins. As an all-in-one we are 3 separate servings hence the high number of gummies. The real trick is the Fish Oil. DHA/EPA is a large molecule and needs room! We wanted to provide an excellent source not just a trace so we could put it on our label. Its why if you took a Vitamin D, a multi and Fish Oil separately you would likely be taking more than 6 a day (if you were taking them at the same nutrient levels). You are also saving money! To get all those things would cost buying each one separately (usually around 10 dollars each for the Multi and D and 20 dollars for Fish Oil. If you decide you would like to continue with SmartyPants, please email me and I will give you a discount code to use on your next purchase!

Best,
Ali

I have done a lot of research as my kids have allergies and so many vitamins have additives, fillers, sweeteners and junk! these are hands down the best vitamins for quality of ingredients, taste and company! the only kids vitamins of this quality with Omegas included as well as the best sources of vitamin B ( not synthetic) and no fillers like the junk you find at local stores! we bought vitamins from Whole Foods, online, Costco, Trader Joes and many local health food stores- these blow them all out of the water for taste and quality! The company is also amazing in customer service, personal touch- the founders are parents and are involved in the day to day business as we received notes and emails when we inquired! they sell bottles, monthly autoship and great travel packs for lunches, backpacks etc! the kids never forget when the vitamins taste great and we tell them they make them SMART- kids love to be smart! every bottle you buy a donation is made to Vitamin Angels to supply kids in need with healthy vitamins! as a Mom and health coach I support these vitamins and this company above all others!!

Great healthy vitamins without the crap. Yes you need to take 4/day but the alternative is 2/day of a multi vitamin + 2/day of Omega 3's and not getting enough Vit D. Good stuff. After trying Whole Foods and Trader Joe's and feeling I was perhaps getting something a little more healthy than Lil' Critters, I was very happy to stumble upon these. They won't be young long and let's face it, kids cost money. I'd rather put $ into their health and skimp on the video games.

The combination of nutrients listed for this vitamin looked great, especially the addition of omega-3s and extra Vitamin D, so I purchased it. I am returning it, due to its use of synthetic Vitamin E, labeled as dl-alpha tocopherol. I am disappointed that what seemed to be a natural, quality product would use synthetic anything in it. Synthetic vitamin E is greatly reduced in nutritional value and has actually been shown in studies to eliminate natural vitamin E in the body causing health risks. Not good for a children's vitamin or any vitamin. Amazon really needs to show the Supplement Facts label on every supplement product it sells, so the buyer can see and research exactly what he or she is getting. These days we have to do our own homework (and a lot of it) in looking into nutrition and supplementation to get the best possible for our body's needs. What we have learned recently is that Carlson's supplements may be some of the best available for quality, product accuracy and delivery of the fullest nutrition. They have a kids' chewable that we are going to try [...]. They also have a DHA omega-3 product for kids, also with natural vitamin E (d-alpha tocopheryl). Hope this helps.

First off, this is not a gummy vitamin that is like a gummy bear, the consistency is more like a fruit gel so it's easier to chew and swallow. They taste great, but kinda disappointed that there is no iron in them, which I thought there was. Other than that they are great, but I will be looking for a different vitamin, one that has iron and omega 3s.

ETA: I cannot believe the CEO of the company would actually take the time to comment on my little review on Amazon. It just goes to show how dedicated this company is to customer satisfaction. We have been giving the Iron in the drops as suggested and so far it's working great.

We actually tried one of the Kirkland gummies with DHA as a sample from the store... and I couldn't believe how fishy and hard to digest it was. It was suprising!

I change my rating to a perfect 5 stars b/c it truly is a superior product!

dosage:
my kids don't have perfect diets, but even sugary breakfast cereal is fortified. I consider this a "boost" and I am quite pleased to find a supplement with reasonable dosages per gummy. decide for yourself what your kid needs (but if you're looking at this brand, I'm guessing that your kid is exposed to enough real food that they probably don't need the maximum dosage).

taste:
some people complain about a fishy taste. I don't eat meat or fish, but I tasted a gummy and I did not notice a fishy taste.
and they are sweet, certainly, but I don't think that it's so much that I should spend time dwelling on it. so I won't.

summary:
pleased, will continue to purchase.
