Absorbs into the skin like a light moisturizer and hides things some powder foundations can accentuate like fine lines and enlarged pores. I've tried other foundation primers and Smashbox Photo Finish Light is the best for holding back shine without messing with my foundation!

Smashbox Photo Finish works AMAZING! I had never used a primer until last year when I heard about the Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Relief Powder-Gel 1.5 oz (42 g) from several internet sources and blogs. I tried that and really liked it. THEN, I tried this product...THERE IS NO COMPARISON! This works 100 times better! With the Monistat, when I came home I looked as if I hadn't put on any make-up in the morning; with Smashbox, my make-up is as fresh as it was when I left in the morning. I don't use a lot of foundation, but this extends the life of the little that I do use. I can't imagine not using this product and is worth the price tag! It seems like a waste now, to buy the Monistat because the results do not compare.

I received my sample from Sephora and bought the bottle after two days! I am passing the rest of the sample on to my mom! If you haven't tried a primer before, you have to compare between the two. I think that you will find this product is far superior! This has become my new make-up bag staple! Highly recommend!

I have oily-combination skin and large pores on my nose. Normally the oil seeps through after one or two hours and my pores look huge regardless of what foundation I use. But with Smashbox I don't have to blot at all all day and my pores are barely visible. It doesn't hide lines as well as the regular one or Mac's Prep+Prime, but I'm 20 so that's not a big problem for me (yay).

PS I've used it with Revlon Colorstay Liquid foundation and the Smashbox Camera Ready foundation. I use Clinique Dramatically Different gel moisturizer underneath.

I have pretty oily skin that makes it hard to keep my makeup on. I tried the normal primer a while back and it only made things worse! But now that I've started using the Light Primer I can tell a huge difference. It does not dry out my skin but keeps it from getting so oily and shiney that my makeup melts off. So, unless you have oily skin this product will probably not make too much of a difference. But if you do, this is a huge help!
