This collection isn't just any old rock CD. It's an entire rock opera in the tradition of the disenfranchisement angst of the Who's "Tommy" and the sexual awakening of Meat Loaf's "Bat out of Hell." The music is great, and the message is "complicated," following the story of a boy and his "monkey," searching for an identity in a new millennium space metaphor for a lost generation.
Ookla the Mok are some sort of twisted nerd geniuses. Pray they only use their simian powers for good. |
