Not earthshaking but worth listening to,

This review is from: Smetana: Piano Works, Vol. 1 (Audio CD)
This is a CD bought when studying in a class about music appreciation/czech nationalism. With that in mind, it is a good example of the piano music created at that time and in that part of the world. May I add, that unlike Harold C. Schoenberg's opinion, ('The Lives of the Great Composers') I don't believe this piano music is a 'watery distillation' of Franz Liszt (p. 379), although it is of course influenced by him. Who else was going to influence it?
