This one is seriously going to take a few thousand more spins to sink in for me. It is utterly mind-bending... brings to mind Funkadelic's Maggot Brain album... feedback galore... moody, sad, beautiful and tense in the span of minutes. Smile pops with bursts of machine gun flak when you foolishly attempt to catch your breath. It's really not relaxing and it's hard to stay focused on work w/ this on.

I love it.

If you can, get the 2cd direct from Southern Lord... it's $13 and comes with a DVD.

there is this feeling I have everytime I hear an album that is damn good. it just blows your mind away straightaway. this is what happens with boris. it's noise in it's purest but it has a significant portion of emotions as well. and that's what makes it so precious to me...i didn't like PINK that much and am just about to listen to RAINBOW...
SMILE is just great!

Saw them Live last month and blew me away. Bought this album and it does not disappoint. Looking forward to getting more from Boris.

If you like loud guitar with loads of feedback this band is for you.

The japanese version has many different songs and is..yes listen to the First song on the japan version..and thazts like getting 2 shotguns
