For a debut record, "Smile N' Nod" appears to have skipped high school altogether and packed straight to college. Honest personal and social commentary run throughout the lyrics, power-driven home by blistering rock, and the fearlessness with which the band effortlessly slams pop stylings in the listener's face. An undeniable sing-along experience firmly rooted in an authentic smart punk aesthetic.

Where to begin, I had the honor to be able to chat with these guys over myspace before this CD came out, when they only had the demo for 'Too Old To Cry' and 'Drown.' This CD is absolutely brilliant in every shape and form. This CD is a delight to the ears and it encourages you to pick up an instrument and rock out. This CD is a must, get it while you can because VooDoo Blue have announced there final show together. It's a shame because they had "IT" and were heading in the right direction to being BIG, they are very musically inclined and talented musicians. This CD is not one of those CD's where there are only 2-3 songs that are good, this CD is GREAT from start to finish.

WE'LL MISS YOU VOODOO BLUE! YOU GUYS TRULY ROCKED BETTER THAN MOST OF THE MAIN STREAM BANDS OUT TODAY! GOOD LUCK TO ALL 3 OF YOU!

this cd is amazing. the music is beautiful, the lyrics are moving, and the songs in general are a lot of fun. ive actually been able to see voodoo blue live (right before they broke up), theyre definitely a worth-while buy. dan book (singer/guitarist) is starting a new band, amoreta, so keep an eye out!
