4.0 out of 5 stars Great Remix CD...Smile Fans Rejoice!
Smile Paradise is a remix CD....just that. Do not expect any new songs besides the overly cute(in a good way)track by the name "Petit Love" All the songs are great and I would give it a 5...if I could give it a 4.5 I would but the track layout is not too great. First you have Dancing All Alone and then Dancing All alone Kimono Mix...back to back. It is the same...

1.0 out of 5 stars Too expensive
This CD is a waste of money. It comes from Japan, so it costs a lot. There are very few tracks on this CD. All of them are remix's and one remix is simply the same as the original except one word is changed! The songs are just too silly and hyperactive. Smile has made these songs even faster and more extreme than the originals. Stick to Smile's original albums and save...

It is the same song song besides a few words. Isn't this a remix album? Why is the original "Dancing All Alone" on this?? Secondly, having "Butterfly" back to back isn't a great idea either. The songs are great and have an incredible dance beat. Just a pet peeve I have with this album.

For me it would have been:

Dancing All Alone Kimono Mix
Petit Love
Butterfly Upswing Mix
Doo-Be-Di-Boy KCP Mix
Butterfly Hyper K Mix
Boys Euro Mix
Future Girls(no need for remix, this track is awesome by itself!)

If I could give it a 4.5 I would but I can't and this doesn't deserve a 5. Go with "Smile" "Future Girls" or "Golden Sky" those are 5 star albums!!

KEEP SMILING!! =)

5.0 out of 5 stars Good but..., February 18, 2003

This CD is good and packed full of upbeat, dancing songs but I think it's really not worth it and you should buy their first 2, Smile and Future Girls. They are actually both from Sweden, not Japan or Denmark as some people say.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! This is an incredible remix CD!, May 4, 2002
This review is from: Smile Paradise (Audio CD)
This is the first Smile.dk CD I bought, because I cannot find their first one. I felt that it was a worthy investment, all of the songs are kicky, bouncy, and bright. I love music that is highly danceable and outrageously fun. This CD is a remix CD, with a remix of Dancing All Alone (Dancing all alone in my kimono...), two remixes of Butterfly (upswing and hyper K mix) the euro mix of Boys, the original Petit Love (one of my personal favorites!) and the kcp mix of Doo-Be-Di-Boy (which is highly reminiscent of Butterfly, if the old formula works why change it?) If you want fun-albeit in an expensive package-look no further, because you will be smiling all day after hearing this duo sing their upbeat tunes, you really can't go wrong!

I'm a big fan of smile.DK and I have to tell you that this album rocks! It has all the smash hits from Dancemania, including Butterfly, Boys, and much more! This music is perfect for parties, chillin', and just listening to music. Nowadays, J-POP artists are taking the states by storm!I have to say that this will certainly be the next album I'm going to buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the BEST cds to dance to!, November 29, 2001
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

SUPER cd, great music, *VERY* fun and sure to get you moving!

I've adored Smile.dk for a long time (love their other cd with the regular tracks), and I enjoyed the remix of Butterfly on this one (track 5) because it was a bit faster and will make you jump a little more. Doo Be Di Boy is a GREAT song, very much in the style of the DDR tracks released by Smile.dk, and Dancing All Alone is also a party-mover. I don't care so much for Petit Love because the lyrics are a little too stupid (the melody is catching at first but the flimsy lyrics get in the way of enjoyment), but every other track is definitely a solid investment. =)

I admit, I was a little squeamish to spend this much money on the aquisition of only 3 new songs (as the others are all remixes), but I am absolutely THRILLED that I did, as this cd almost never leaves my cd player! What a great sound!

5.0 out of 5 stars What's their other albums called??, January 24, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Smile Paradise (Audio CD)
Ok, I have some awesome songs by Smile.dk from the DDR games and I'd like to buy all their albums. Can anyone tell me the titles of their other albums and list a website to find them? Is this group from Japan or Europe? The ".dk" would suggest Denmark, but people are calling it J-Pop so I'm a little confused. Thanks guys!

This album is among the best music I have listened to. Smile.DK is one of the best artists on the Dance Dance Revolution soundtrack. I am a huge fan of the game and Smile.DK. If I would tell someone to buy any album right now it would be this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars SMiLE.dk in All its WONDERFUL GOODNESS!, December 23, 2002
This review is from: Smile Paradise (Audio CD)
This is SMiLE.dk's third album, and I loved it almost as much as the first two. That's only because (1) it's quite expensive, and (2) the only new song it features is Petit Love, which sounds a bit like the Muppets singing, but it's a REALLY GOOD song. The others are all remixes, but quite good ones. The Butterfly Upswing Mix is a bit long, but it has a good dance beat, and the same for the Doo-Be-Di-Boy KCP Mix. The two tracks of Dancing All Alone are virtually the same song with a few words changed to make it sound intelligent, and the Boys Euro Mix is probably the most hardcore trance-ish song on here.

Borders keeps putting off the release of their fourth album, Golden Sky, but I'm sure that'll be the best album yet!

They don't carry their first two albums here, but a Japan-based CD company called Mundo ...carries everything there, in case SMiLE has gotten you hooked, too! ~_^
