I know this seems like a really weird question, but did anyone else notice a smiley face in the upper right corner of page 193 (Chapter 11- Social Security: Franni vs. Bush)? It looks like it's been penciled in, along with penciled "perforations" bordering it. Does anyone know the purpose of this? Is it signifying something I'm just not getting - I mean, I own all of Franken's books, and I've never seen anything or read any references to this prior...I'd appreciate it if someone "in the know" could help me out on this.
If you read the corrosponding page he makes a joke about LSD and notes that he put a "tab of LSD" in the upper right hand corner. I don't have the book in front of me, so I can't put a direct quote in this post.
Anyhow, a tab of LSD is (to my understanding) a piece of paper about the same size as the smiley face with the lsd put into it.
