WARNING! Read carefully, Choose wisely,

Before I get to the bad stuff about this book, let me just say it was pretty good. The instruction was clear, the ingredients thankfully common in most cases - and it was pretty fun to read. That said, I am really glad I read the sample because the first recipe in it, for the cake, calls for RAISINS! Raisins are bad for dogs. Like vomit and die bad for dogs. Why on earth the author would have listed them is beyond me. I won't say you shouldn't get this book, but be smart with your dog and his/her health - find yourself a list of the "forbidden foods" for dog, and get to know it. Then, if you happen to read this book, refer back to the list to make sure you're not going to add something that will kill your pet. Read carefully, choose wisely, and if there's one or two items in a recipe that are dangerous, substitute with something safe. Just please don't take the author at face vale. She may have meant well, but you should be safe, not sorry. |
