Easily adjustable spray pattern.

Having a pressure release valve makes opening it easier when you've pumped it up, but it's not empty and you don't want to spray.

I use it to spray for weeds works great.

I use a 10% bleach solution for general area disinfection: mold, latrines, showers, etc., and most all consumer grade pump sprays I've used for years, deteriorate after a single use. Bleach is very harsh on rubber and organics, and will rapidly eat away seals and gaskets. But not on this sprayer. Note, the model I received has a pressure release valve, but not the one pictured. From the DB Smith site, it has a different part number from what I got.

Pros

Takes bleach very well, it uses higher quality Viton o-rings
strong spray
easy to pump
easy to carry, pump handle is the carry handle
variable spray nozzle: from jet, to conical spray, to a fan spray, and all points between
easy to clean and disassemble, complete instruction included
Pressure release valve: easy to bleed if still pressurized, say to refill with fluid
locking wand switch: no need to keep pressing the on button. Makes it a snap to clean: simply rinse, fill it with clean water, pump up, then lock the spray and let it spray into a drain. When the bottle is empty, you are done.
It uses up all the liquid in the bottle, zero waste!
durable thick plastic bottle, well made wand and durable hoses
The bleach sprayer costs only $1-3 more than the non-bleach rated sprayer and is a better deal; if you ever use a chemical you aren't sure is corrosive to seals, for only $3 more, you can get a unit that is built hardier
Wand stowage underneath handle. Its advised to store the unit with the cover/pump removed, to allow the contents to fully dry.

Cons
The nozzle loses its setting; if you set it to fine spray after use, then come back a week later, it can just dribble.

This review is for the Smith #190285 1 gallon bleach & chemical sprayer. Manufacturers type "ML". Since purchasing this from Amazon in March, 2012, I have used this sprayer without difficulty for about 6 times since then without incident. It is easy to fill, pressurize, adjust, and clean out after use. After thoroughly rinsing out with clean water and flushing the wand, opening and closing the valve, I pump it up with just air and hold the tank and wand upside down to blow out the rinse water. Then remove the pump and store the unit so it will dry out. I would give this sprayer 5 stars except for the -

"BUT" - - - During use today, I noticed that the valve was acting sluggish and would not close quickly as it did before. After use and cleaning, I examined the valve and decided to check it out. I first removed the round cap just under the valve by turning it counter-clockwise. This allows access to the spring that closes the valve. Upon removal, the spring was found to be in an advanced stage of rust, but still serviceable. There was considerable debris in this area and I decided to clean the entire valve. The lever has to be removed by using one screwdriver to carefully pull the side over and another screwdriver to pull the lever up and off the sprayer. The valve stem may be seen and pushed down with a non-metallic rod, (wood dowel) to remove it. Be careful of the o-ring seals. Using Q-tips, soft brush and soapy water, clean the valve, chamber, spring, and the cap, which also has an o-ring. Rinse and dry all parts and lightly lube the o-rings with Vaseline and reassemble in reverse order. The valve now should work as new. Note: The spring is made of carbon base steel, (may be picked up with a magnet) and is subject to rust.

Bought this to spray some RoundUp on the weeds trying to conquer my small yard. Here's some brief thoughts:

The open funnel spout is nice allowing confidence that I won't have any issues of spillage when mixing chemicals and liquids.

The pump/handle piece screws onto the reservoir container thing quite well. The pump works effectively in pressurizing the system with no air loss (unless you don't screw tight enough in which you hear a hiss).

The hose and spray is just the right length for flex but not being cumbersome and also of good build quality. The liquids spray evenly.

As stated in my title: It works great from fill to pump to spray.

Recommended.

this is the in between an industrial grade sprayer and a house sprayer. basically it does a perfect job. if you need a sprayer that is not cheap and works good get this one.
the construction is solid, the sprayer is refined, can be adjusted... over all a great product

I bought two of these sprayers to seal my driveway. My wife used one, and I used the other. It's very easy to pump
and it worked perfectly for the job at hand. I wouldn't go any bigger because it gets heavy to carry that much liquid.
This thing saved me about $200 in labor for two hours of work.

I must say I don't have an extensive experience in using sprayers. But I have used some in my lifetime. This one I bought to do my own pesticide spraying, for this it has worked great. No problems. Easy to fill and spray. Has a strong spray. Glad I purchased.
