antidote for low blood pressure,

I installed this software which I purchased with my new Mac Mini. The program installer suggested that I include Internet Cleanup in the startup disc. On restarting all I got was an image in the middle of the screen of a circle with a line through it. After an hour on the phone with Apple tech support we managed to reboot my Mac with safe boot. (Rebooting from the disc didn't work.) We (Apple Tech Support and I) couldn't find a site on the web that provided guidance on how to uninstall this toxic little gem. I did the equivalent of uninstalling Internet Cleanup by reinstalling my computer's operating system and archiving the original software (which quarantined Internet Cleanup). That took three hours. In all it took less than five minutes to install Internet Cleanup and four hour to repair the damage.

How do I uninstall this thing!,

This thing doesn't do much, but makes everything more complicated. I've been trying to uninstall it for a while now, I've deleted the program from my Mac, but everytime I plug in a USB drive, it still pops up, asking for my password. I can't find where it is in my computer...but it's there. Does anyone know how to get rid of it??

Once this thing gets on your hard drive, the game is over. You lose, and you lose big.

BE aware of free or cheap software,

I got this software when I bought a new Mac from MacMall. They often offer a package of free groovy sounding software titles that you pay for up front and then have to send in rebate forms to get the price totally refunded - if you follow the very stringent time lines and procedures to the law. So I got this Internet Cleanup for "free" so-to-speak, but once loaded it would not work easily and I decided to delete.... but like others had to spend hours trying to do so, with help of Apple Tech support. Next time I will not fall for MacMall's free software titles, takes too much time for stuff you really do not need. They are banking you'll miss the mail in dates and then they make the breakage on selling garbage software. Don't mean to bash MacMall, but this software is a waste.
