Model 1900 Leg Irons Nickel. Over-sized leg irons with 14"" high-security heat-treated chain and larger dimension, elliptically contoured satin nickel cuffs. Smith & Wesson Handcuffs are fabricated from the finest quality carbon steel. The idea of leg irons are to prevent the suspect from kicking and running, walking with these leg irons are very painful so try not to make the suspect walk to much with these on. You can put large wrist bands on the legs before cuffing them by that it will reduce the pain a little bit, but make sure not to make them tight, that will put there feet in danger. if your into self bondage or BDSM, it's better to use leather straps that expand while walking, these leg irons are not for BDSM.

Much like other good quality leg irons; fit is somewhat loose/floppy on most women or small individuals. Lock solidly and securely; if security is a problem, there is a high-security version available on net with pin tumbler locks, also the excellent, expensive, and heavy Clejuso from Germany. Would prefer shorter chain (10 inch or so would be better) to alleviate problems tripping over the slack while walking. For transport use, it's useful to padlock the rings at the ends of the chain together for additional restriction and security. Again, Peerless irons seem to be more comfortable for average or smaller individuals, or when expected to wear for more than a few hours.
