I didn't think much about the knife when I ordered it. I wanted a more expensive dressing knife but I couldn't swing it. Well, I went deer hunting about a week later and I shot/ killed one. I pulled out the S & W knife and it cut like butter. Within two minutes I dressed the deer! I've sharpened it several times and it is lethal. Buy this knife and you will not be disappointed.

This knife is sharp right out of the box, not shaving sharp but still sharp enough to shave a layer off of your fingernails. The blade is fairly thick and the handle has a good grip to it. Can't wait to go hunting and test this one out.
