Smith & Wesson model CK6A with satin finish drop tip blade, and natural aluminum anodized, micro-serrated handle.

This is a mid-size tactical pocket folder, yet seems larger in the hand. Fit and finish are outstanding. The handle is joined by small torx screws seated flush and even on both sides, with a large torx screw securing what appears to be a robust blade pivot. The handle surface is an attractive, crisply executed cross-hatch groove pattern that creates a jewel-like effect. Inside the aluminum scales are 1/6" steel liners on both sides with a small spring-tang "liner lock" on the right side that snaps in behind the open blade to lock it solidly without play or wobble.

The blade is an honest 3.5" long, by just under 1" broad, and 1/8" thick along the spine, with a drop-point design that yields a blade suitable for tactical needs. The blade is activated in one of two ways. Either by pushing against the large, 3/8" diameter knurled thumb "wheel" mounted on the spine by torx screw, or using the index finger to rake down along the spine, pressing against the blade guard which in the closed position extends slightly through and above the handle. Using the index finger method seems natural, followed by a quick wrist flip to swing the blade open into lock--very fast and solid. And it is here that S&W's characteristic attention to detail comes through. All operations are smooth, with solid "clicks" where appropriate.
Blade finish is satin brushed with the S&W logo laser etched onto the left side.

The knife is quite light...

I have had this for over a year. It is still in excellent condition and I use it every day. Sharpens very well and holds an edge.

I was looking for a good EDC. Not a great one, just a good one. That is exactly what I got. It's got one very minor issue in that you need to open it with a fair degree of force to make the lock positively engage, but I'm sure that will probably fix itself with a bit of wear.

Holds a good edge, and all in all is a really good knife for not much cash.

The main appeal for me was the pocket clip which, as is rarely the case, is mounted so that if you like to carry swivel down in your right pants pocket, the knife if ready to open one-handed. Don't know why this feature is so hard to find, but if that's what you're looking for, buy this one before it gets away.

The Smith & Wesson CK6A Extreme Ops knife is a beaut.

It is a medium size for a pocket knife, but surprisingly light. It has a beautiful build quality with smooth as butter movement and locking. The thumb top is a nice feature that I prefer to the thumb stub.
The blade is nice and takes a great edge, though it wasn't terribly sharp right out of the box.
The butt of this knife is large but rather flat making it a so-so compliment to the blade.

I prefer a slightly smaller knife for an EDC, but when I travel to different countries this is my knife of choice.
The low price is deceptive. It compares favorably with knives costing much more.

This knife is a great quality knife at a cheap price.I really only use it for protection from any one who pulls a knife on me.So I like it because it opens quick and easy. The index finger is used to push the blade out and then flick it out with my wrist. And it is also exremely sharp.

Great knife for the price ! Blade is a little stiff to open at first, but a drop or two of machine oil helps remedy that.

Just what the title says, quality. Everything from the pocket clip to the blade itself holds up. I've had it for about two months now without any issues, granted I haven't been beating on it, just use it for daily chores and to impress the friends. The product itself,
-Solid Handle
-Firm pocket clip
-Blade that holds an edge
-locks tight without resistance (yes, easy to open with one hand)
My only "complaint" is that it locks quietly, no loud clicking noise when you take out the blade. Overall, an incredible buy for around $10.
