The lens scratches very easily on this. It is some sort of plastic and there was a piece of dust on it and it scratched the lens when trying to clean it.Keep in mind I am a fanantic about keeping my lenses clean and scratch free and always very carefull. How this piece of tine debris scratched the lens is beyond me.. I was able to remove most of the scratch with Scratch X polish. Still a good light for the money.
I bought this for $40 from a SoCal sporting goods store and used it for over 2 years before TSA stole from my baggage at the airport. I never had to replace the bulb.
To replace it, I bought a similar model from Blackhawk for $60 but could tell no improvement, plus it came with no holster or spare bulb. So I bought this again, this time @ amazon.com, for work and saved the other for dog walking.
One reviewer here mentioned the different style batteries but they are 123 model 3V camera batteries, typically found at any drug or general store for $9-10/pr. The cheapest I found was online for $35 for a dozen.
I would not be surprised to find them charging more for this product so get it cheap while you can.
I tried buying rechargeable batteries, which have a slightly higher voltage and burned out my old light. The price of a replacement bulb was almost as much as buying a new flashlight, so I just ordered another light. It came with a spare bulb, and now I have two lights - am keeping a spare in the car (but just will not be using rechargeable batteries). By the way, of course after buying the replacement light I found the original spare bulb that came with my first light, which I had completely forgotten about.
I like the LED light options these days, but I have found that to get ones that are as bright you will pay a bit more. This light is great if you will not be using it frequently, but in case of emergency you want a great light. If you plan on using something more frequently, I would invest in a decent LED light that can run on rechargeable batteries.
But in summary, for the price this is a fantastic light - highly recommended!
sorry but this is the truth i have bought batteries in short period more than the light price by 2 times !! and it wont last long .
A nice bright beam of light has far more impact and is always helpful to the responding officer.

When i bought these, it was advertised as LED bright white light. But it was a yellow light and bulb. Still good amount of light but was not LED.Published 9 months ago by FreedomZman
Powerful flashlight, and I love the instant on back button feature. The odd battery size may prove challenging in the future, but that's what amazon is for.Published 21 months ago by Joel Mallory
This is a high quality, LED light that I keep in a photo bag and another one in a home security kit. I wish I had one in every room.Published on April 13, 2014 by chris
You turn it on by screwing the back on tight. low lumens, weird battery, high priced. Its fine but I mounted it to a firearm and was not happy. Read morePublished on February 14, 2014 by Dominick Carbonara
