5.0 out of 5 stars very bright..well built
I see no sense in spending big bucks for the bigger names is tactical lights. This thing will blind you.. and comes with nice case and extra bulb.

The lens scratches very easily on this. It is some sort of plastic and there was a piece of dust on it and it scratched the lens when trying to clean it.Keep in mind I am a fanantic...

The lens scratches very easily on this. It is some sort of plastic and there was a piece of dust on it and it scratched the lens when trying to clean it.Keep in mind I am a fanantic about keeping my lenses clean and scratch free and always very carefull. How this piece of tine debris scratched the lens is beyond me.. I was able to remove most of the scratch with Scratch X polish. Still a good light for the money.

Good choice for auto flashlight. Strong beam, well constructed, lightweight, and uses lithium batteries that are long-lived and work in sub-zero temperatures.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bargain Tactical Light & Great work light, September 24, 2008

This S&W light works great. It's very sturdy and bright with a focused beam. It also comes with a belt holster, batteries, and spare bulb. It fits my needs as a paramedic well and I could not be happier.

I bought this for $40 from a SoCal sporting goods store and used it for over 2 years before TSA stole from my baggage at the airport. I never had to replace the bulb.

To replace it, I bought a similar model from Blackhawk for $60 but could tell no improvement, plus it came with no holster or spare bulb. So I bought this again, this time @ amazon.com, for work and saved the other for dog walking.

One reviewer here mentioned the different style batteries but they are 123 model 3V camera batteries, typically found at any drug or general store for $9-10/pr. The cheapest I found was online for $35 for a dozen.

I would not be surprised to find them charging more for this product so get it cheap while you can.

I carry this light everywhere I go, when working Security most people don't realize what a change the lighting source can have on a situation, when a flashlight is Dim, there is no way you can see everything you need to and people tend to think they can get away with more.

A nice bright beam of light has far more impact and is always helpful to the responding officer.

If you cannot afford the pricey lights like SureFire, this S&W tactical light works just fine. It has a really bright lamp that lights up the dark both outside and inside. Also has good distance. Get this one!

I purchased this light to put on my AR-15. It works very well and is good quality for the money. The only down side is that the xenon bulbs are somewhat hard to find and are rather pricey. But I would recommend this light for someone who is looking for a quality tactical light for a bargain price.

Other reviews have covered many of the strengths of this flashlight. I just wanted to add that it's very durable as well. Mine lives in my glovebox and has been subjected to 2 years of extreme summer heat. It's still going strong. I've dropped it on hard concrete, scraped it while doing repairs on my truck, and have generally abused this poor flashlight a lot. It still functions flawlessly. Very nice product for the money.

I love this flashlight. The press on/off on the thumb is handy and also the twist constant on. The bulb is pretty bright too.
