5.0 out of 5 stars TOUGH-COMFORTABLE BOOTS!
These are Superior Boots (even though made in anihC). There are so many Companies; Magnum, Danner ($$$),Timberland and Columbia. Though...not a boot for Firefighters, for everyday use this Boot has met the demands of my job (I work outdoors on film locations for 10-16 hours). I owned Magnums before and they lasted 10 years as a paramedic. However, I purchased those Boots...

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice boots, November 5, 2010

boots were comfortable and light. They run half a size big. I wear a size 9 in shoes, boots and tennis shoes but a 8 1/2 fit perfect. The down side it took 2 weeks to get them, way too long. I had to buy a cheap pair at Academy while I waited for these boots.

Though...not a boot for Firefighters, for everyday use this Boot has met the demands of my job (I work outdoors on film locations for 10-16 hours). I owned Magnums before and they lasted 10 years as a paramedic. However, I purchased those Boots in 1995. Wearing these Boots I have noticed they wear and feel like high end cross trainers. The Smith & Wesson angle was one draw (marketing, I admit) that worked. However, regardless of "the label" I would still keep these boots and purchase them in the future. The look and feel of the boot shows good construction and the break-in time was only two days for me. I am sure there are better boots, but Not for the Amazon Price ($51.85) plus free shipping!

5.0 out of 5 stars Almost Perfect, December 12, 2010

Working in an industry where my days can range from just a few hours to over 15 hours the comfort and wellbeing of my feet are a high priority. From the moment I boot these boots on I felt comfortable and supported especially around the ankle, simply the best boot I have ever put on and felt like I've been wearing them for years from the very first moment. The non-slip sole works a treat and I have put that to the test on many surfaces, not once did they give way even slightly. The only point I would say needs to be addressed is after about 12 hours these boots do still hold onto moisture but I've never had a boot that didn't. Fantastic boot in every way and highly recommended.

I bought these boots 3 months ago and absolutely love them! Had trouble getting the correct size from Amazon at first as they were sending me a womans size 7 instead of a mens size 7 ( that happened twice) however when i finally got the correct boot i fell in love with them. They are tough yet comfortable and hold a shine well. Very very happy with these boots - they were worth the hassle of waiting to get the right size shipped to me.

These are excellent Boots, well worth the purchase price and durable.

They are also much lighter than I expected and a great combination between breath-ability to keep your feet from sweating in warm weather and insulation to keep them warm in the cold, very highly recommended.

the soles have a pretty deep tread which helps greatly in slick areas but the tread width is wide enough that things don't get caught inside all the time.

A+ Boots, I Will be buying these again.

4.0 out of 5 stars good deal, August 13, 2010

Good quality, true to size. Stiffer than most new boots but broke in well in two weeks. I can trash boots in no time and for a month now they still look new. A little on the hot side for summer. Maintained factory shine so far (rare for me)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Boots, March 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Smith & Wesson Men's Guardian 6" Boot (Apparel)
I purchased these boots because I needed a pair for the winter, they provided much needed traction that was lacking in the pair of tennis shoes I had been wearing previously. I ordered these boots in my size (10.5) and they fit perfectly. These were my first pair of boots so after about a week I was used to the extra weight from them they started to feel really comfortable. I like these boots so much that I now wear them all the time over other tennis shoes.

These boots are not waterproof, but they do seem to be pretty water-resistant.

After about a month and a half of everyday use there is still no signs of wear so I am very happy with this purchase.

One thing to note is that using a shoe horn greatly speeds up putting on these boots, although it is not required.

1.0 out of 5 stars Size not accurate, January 17, 2011

The boot size is not accurate. The boot arrived promptly, however, the boot is at one full size smaller than listed. I returned the boot immediately.
