I got this knife at Tractor Supply and absolutely LOVE it. It is one of the only knives that feels stable and comfortable in my hand. The one handed operation is great. I can open, cut, and close it with one hand. It's a little big for that little pocket in your jeans but fits in there on most of the jeans I wear. I always have this thing on me and boy has it been useful. It's funny seeing people's reactions when you pull it out to open a box or cut a loose thread. I picked up a great knife sharpener at a gun show and am able to keep this thing sharp enough to slice a piece of paper. I used it this past Christmas for trimming wrapping paper. ha ha. I also use it out on the property and have never damaged or broken it yet. I am tempted to pick up a spare or two every time I am at TSC but still have this one I my pocket so haven't yet.

this is a cheap knife... the steel is soft, and the clip fell off.

I used it for EDC about 2 months. Generally it would completely lose its edge in about a week, which isnt bad for a cheap knife. I LOVED the handle; its textured aluminum, which allowed me to keep a solid grip on it. the shape was fairly comfy for my hands, which are smallish...

im not a fan of the blade shape, but thats a matter of personal preference, not indicative of the quality or utility of the knife

tl;dr: for $10, just buy it

This is my first Smith & Wesson knife, I usually buy CRKT knives. The blade is sharp, so far I've only used it to cut open cardboard packages. Well after a month of carrying it around, one of the screws on the belt clip stripped it's socket. So now I have a loose clip. But besides that, the blade had kept it's sharpness. The belt clip is also position towards the edge of the frame so you don't have to worry about the knife sticking out a substantial amount while in your jean pocket.

The knife in the photo was indeed the knife I received, however, this knife is not a "frame lock knife". It's a "liner lock" knife. The knife still locks up solid, but I prefer a frame lock design more due to the better durability.

The edge angle on each side is 25/25. Not to bad, but I went ahead lowered it to 20/20 on each side to give it a little bit more bite. This new edge really didn't need a touch till after 4 days of "medium use".

I use this as my everyday knife. I liked the look of it and for $7 at Academy I bought it. At first I didn't like the textured grip but you get use to it. What I really like is that it feels sturdy, too many knives have flimsy, and or plastic handles but not this joker. Try it, you'll like it.
