My knife just arrived today, and I am very impressed. It has a good weight in the hand without feeling heavy, and without feeling too light and cheap. The construction is rock solid and feels like it can take a serious beating without showing any wear. I have large hands, and the grip is comfortable and unlikely to slip. The liner lock is feels very sturdy and the knife opens quickly and smoothly with a flick of the thumb. It doesn't lock when closed, which would be nice, but that's really not an issue. It fits nicely in the pocket too. With the knife in my pocket and clipped to the pocket edge, it doesn't feel to bulky or get in my way.

This is an excellent knife, especially at such a low price.

First off, what's not in the description and is hard to make out from the picture is that this knife has an emergency glass breaker on the butt end of the handle- a good extra feature considering it's being owned with emergency use in mind.

This is an excellent knife; very smooth blade motion, locks into place without jiggling, very sharp blade and point- very. Pant/belt clip is very well attached/tight- you won't have to worry about this falling loose, its almost idiot-proof. Tanto design gives very solid feel along with strong, solid spine. Highly recommended. Seller provides shipping information as well- very important to me.

Great knife, belt cutter and hammer included! Real help for hobby too, not only for those who intended to dive to save somebody from sank vehicle. Smooth blade movement, one hand operated (either one!), sharp, including a spring on the handle so you can wear it practically anywhere. Nylon sheath available too! Recommended!

I purchased 210 of these knives for a statewide public safety agency. The rubber coating on the handles has the thickness and feel of an anodized coating (without the durability), not the secure grip of a true rubber coating. The aluminum used for the handles appears to be low-grade, since the screws for the clip pulled right out of their threads on multiple knives after less than three weeks of use. The biggest problem is the warranty. While the manufacturer extends a seemingly generous lifetime warranty to the original purchaser, there's a catch: you must ship the knife back to the manufacturer at your cost and include a check for $6.95 to cover shipping and handling to get the repaired knife back to you. I bought our knives for $16.95 each, so it would cost about $12 (or 71% of the purchase price) to have the knives repaired under warranty. I recommend anyone needing a rescue knife to shop carefully and pay more. This knife isn't worth a look.

Just got this today.
So far, I am impressed with this item.
Blade came relatively sharp (no blade is ever perfect out of the package), but I have not sharpened it yet. I will use it and abuse it for a while before doing that.

I usually carry a Kershaw folder, but after a few 'high velocity' impacts with the garage floor, from about waist level, the tip had broken off twice, making it a really nice flat head folding screwdriver.

This blade looks well made, and hopefully the tanto edge will help if I happen to drop it.

I picked this up , due to its size, the glass breaker and seatbelt cutter. I already used the seatbelt cutter to cut through a few old backpack straps, just for test purposes. I found that a straight slice is not the way to go, you sort of have to 'wiggle' it left and right to get a quick cut. perhaps with enough tension, like a locked seatbelt, this may not be the case.

I asked my brother in law if I could test the glass breaker on his car, he did not allow me to. (Good thing I asked first huh...)

Much like other reviews, the black really nice, and the opening is a little 'tight', but that will loosen up with time and use.

I am not an emt or police officer, I am in the IT field, so this blade will mainly just open boxes, and be used to pry covers off printers, etc. I always carry a knife (unless at the airport or other place where it is not allowed), because you never know what is going to happen. I like the options of cutting seatbelts, and breaking glass, and for the price, this is a great little product!

***update 10/4/2012

Having carried this knife for a few months now, I really like it.

I ordered the knife while in Afghanistan to have as an everyday pocket knife and as a last option weapon. The knife is built well and i like the design and the size. It's also quick and easy to open with one hand. The only complaint I have is it's not very sharp. The drop from the point to the angle is pretty dull and the rest of the blade is decently sharp. It takes a few strokes to cut through simple things but it gets the job done. It could easily be sharpened to your liking. I would get the blade again especialy for this price.

I was in a car crash 2 years ago and would have died if the driver didn't have his knife to cut me out of the seat belt. I was upside down and literally being hung by the device that saved me from being ejected through the windshield. I bought this knife for myself to keep in my car and though I haven't been in another crash thankfully, this knife certainly seems that it would get any job done as far as getting out of the car quickly and safely.
