5.0 out of 5 stars Solid construction
The knife is of a solid construction, opens and closes smoothly, easily flips open, has a safety button that must be pressed to open the knife. The quality is very good especially taking into consideration that it is made in Taiwan. The only thing to keep in mind is that the handle is a little wider than I expected it to be. However, I liked this knife a lot.

2.0 out of 5 stars how the heck did I get a straight edge when it cleary says serrated
I bought this specific knife because despite what the picture shows, the item description says it has a serrated portion of the blade. I was fairly upset when I received this knife, despite the very quick shipping, to find that it had a straight edge with no serrations. I doubt this will matter at all but hopefully it will help someone choose the right knife.

This is a fairly compact folding knife with a unique mechanism great for light cutting tasks like opening boxes and packages. Folded this knife is very flat. The blade was reasonable sharp, the serrations are OK, but I prefer a plain edge. The back of the blade (top) is ground to a flat edge.

The knife is easily opened with one hand, it can be closed with one hand, but you have to be careful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, February 12, 2010

I bought the knife thinking I might not like the blade swinging out the side. I was completely wrong. I have been carrying this knife for a month and love it. It functions smoothly every time and the blade is very sharp from the factory. I have owned several S&W knives and they have all been great knives for me.

Watch your fingers! Wow!
I got this to be used as a boot knife, however that sort of fell through for a few reasons, two of which are: the handle is thicker than it seems it should be, and the clip in the back is really stiff and tight, not something easily or quickly slipped onto or off of a boot...cuff (whatever it's called).
Once the motion is got, it flips easily and impressively. And the safety works impeccably to keep the blade down. And even though the handle is too thick for what I needed, it's strong and will protect the thin blade.

Don't expect to use the blade for stabbing or skinning, the hinge likely won't hold up, but for emergencies or little needs, this baby is amazing.
