I received this watch from amazon.com in May 2009 and I am very impressed with it. I am a Law Enforcement Officer and I am very hard on my watches. I was looking for something very durable, practical, and that had a slick "tactical" look to it that was under $200. The watch looks very stylish and is very complementary when I am in uniform and also when I wear it off duty. I love the glow of the tritium (same brightness as the night sights on my duty firearm), it is very easy to see in the dark. In the first six months of wear, some of the black coating has worn off near the clasp, but not too bad and not very noticeable. If I wanted to, I could order a replacement band here in Amazon.com for under $35, but at the rate of the black wearing off, I don't feel a replacement would be warranted for a couple more years. I have been in some "extreme" situations on duty and I have I have hit the watch against some pretty hard surfaces, the clasp has never come undone and the band has never broken. My biggest problems with watches I have worn over the past 13 years in Law Enforcement, and while serving 6 years in the Army, was the scratching of the glass on the face of various watches. In the almost two years of daily wear of this watch on and off duty, I have yet to see a single scratch to the glass face. Very impressed! For the price, quality, and durability, this watch is a keeper.

Purchased this watch for the tritium dials and ease of reading at night.k The crystal is not very tough though. Wore it while digging a ditch for some wiring at a friends lake house to his dock. Used a pick, shovel, and a ground spike to dig out rocks and cut roots. It was a back breaking all day event. Not once did the watch come in contact with anything metal or hard. The jarring on my wrist managed to crack the crystal at the edge though. Approximately 1/2" around the circumference of the crystal was chipped from just the jarring it received on my wrist. It either is glued in and the momentum of the crystal going against the bezel caused it to crack and eventually break out a chunk.

To my error I'd read a few reviews of how fragile this watch can be but the positive reviews out weighed the bad ones. Overall a great looking watch but it is not a durable watch at all. Good to wear as a dress watch at best.

I rarely write reviews but this watch made me make an exception to that pattern.
