This is a very nice knife except for the handle--it's slippery. A sharp blade and slippery handle are ahh . . . DANGEROUS. The 440C blade is the real thing. It comes pretty sharp but can be made a lot sharper. The handle, I guess it's wood, is slippery. I tried sanding it down but it was still slippery and didn't look very good. So I gave up on the looks and wrapped some inner tube tire around the handle. There is probably a more elegant way to give the handle some grip but I'll let someone else tell me what. At $32 it seems worth the price but only if you are willing to find a solution for the handle or just want to show it.
