The watch broke within the first week.

From perspiration and occasional washing of the strap, the innards of the spring pins on my watch had rusted to the point of no longer functioning.

I will never purchase this watch again, within the first 15 minutes of wearing it, I was playing with my dog, and the pin that holds the watch face in place fell out, I got it back in, but really? About three weeks, pin fell out once in that time period but, I was taking my motorcycle jacket off, and it caught the knob to change the hour/min hands etc, and the jacket caught that knob and broke it with little force, I would give it zero stars and would not recommend it for ANYONE.

I find the first two reviews odd and by my experience very inaccurate. I have had this same watch for over five years and it is great to this day. No battery replacement to date and keeps great time. I have given three away and those are still being worn after years of service. While wearing this watch I ride bikes (motorcycles)crusin and road trips, fish, hunt, go to the range and shoot high powered rifle competition, pistol competition and and just good ole blast all the ammo you brought, as fast as you can days. It has been submerged in water, tons of sweat, dirt, sand and so on. I wash it off after being in the field with abundant squirts of 409 and rinse it in the shower/sink. Not only will I wear this watch until it dies, I will then return it to the ebay vendor "Fat Cats General Store" were I bought it and have them replace it under the lifetime warranty the watch has. For you guys that are so dissatisfied if you bought it from Fat Cats or from Sportsman's Guide (via Amazon) you had/have a lifetime warranty so whats the problem.......
Oh yea! I just bought seventeen more (17) to give away for Christmas 2012.............

as other reviewers have stated, this pin that holds the watch face on to the band slips out all the time. there is no way to secure it as the screws are not real, they are just decorative markings. complete waste of money.

It wasn't what I thought I ordered however it stood up to the test and is a great watch, the strap is very durable and the watch is not to bulky.

This is a Chinese $5 watch masquerading as a $50 watch. Even though it looked impressive and kept time well when I first started wearing it, I just tossed mine into the trash after attempting to replace the SR626SW battery for the first time, because its general condition after little more than a year of light use was so bad that I didn't want to spend $3 to $5 for a new watch cell.

Here's a list of things I found to be objectionable or unacceptable:
* The body is made of painted pot metal. It is bulky and heavy, and the finish is easily damaged.
* The stainless steel back is difficult to remove, as the notch for prying it off is obstructed by part of the watch case. Damage to the case finish is unavoidable and to the o-ring is likely. Due to the pot metal body, which corrodes fairly easily, water resistance after reassembly is unlikely to be achieved.
* The spring pin tips are made of soft, annealed steel that deformed easily even while I attempted to disengage them to remove the strap and gain access to the watch back. From perspiration and occasional washing of the strap, the innards of the spring pins on my watch had rusted to the point of no longer functioning. Even a drop of Kroil penetrating oil was unable to bring them back to life.
* The adjusting stem is nickel-plated brass, and on mine the plating was completely gone.
* The "crystal" appears to be soft soda-lime glass, easily scratched.
* For the size of the watch body, the Japanese movement inside is tiny, and the watch battery is puny, giving it short service life. A larger movement could have accommodated a larger battery with longer life.

About the only thing worth salvaging was the nylon webbing/Velcro watch band. Perhaps I can pair it with a nice digital watch instead.

It's a decent watch I suppose. Semi cheaply made. Finish wore off pretty quickly. Stopped wearing it and moved on to something different soon after buying.
