5.0 out of 5 stars Nice pictures and great description
The book has alot of interesting plants, many of them tropical. My only complaint is that it didn't have many North American trees.

3.0 out of 5 stars No mention of the California Oaks
This book is worthless in regards to the oak trees of California. There is no mention of the oaks in California. I handle the Vegetation Management Program for San Diego County Parks and I was hoping to use this book with the public to show them the trees that are being infected and killed by the Gold Spotted Oak Borer. These books are so helpful to use as references for painting.

Very clear photograhy. I would have liked a few close-up shots for some of the images perhaps, but otherwise a great book.

This book is worthless in regards to the oak trees of California. There is no mention of the oaks in California. I handle the Vegetation Management Program for San Diego County Parks and I was hoping to use this book with the public to show them the trees that are being infected and killed by the Gold Spotted Oak Borer. Since this book does not mention the Oaks of California, it's useless to me.

It does get 3 stars because it does a good job in describing other trees (Non California Oaks).
