4.0 out of 5 stars Works great, smells bad, December 18, 2010

You ever smelled playdough?? That's what Smitten smells like. It's the ONLY thing I dislike about the product. It's supposed to smell like almonds (which made me think that Jergen's "Original" cherry/almond lotion, hell no, it's like the actual nut smell, playdough-ish. Ya, I really don't like the smell lol

However, the product itself is amazing! I get really dry hands in the winter (the kind that crack and bleed as times) and this stuff just soothes my dry skin beautifully. It's a little greasey in the following few minutes of initial application but wears off in about 5-10 mins and leaves you hands baby soft. I don't know if it's my "end all" of lotions, but it's definitely in my top 5. It melts into your skin quickly, leaves them wonderfully moisturized and helps soother my winter-chapped hands. No only if it smelled better **sigh**

4.0 out of 5 stars Deep Moisturizing Hand Cream, July 18, 2008

This is a gorgeous-smelling, very effective hand cream. My hands get very dry in the winter and Smitten has been a godsend for them. It moisturizes and sinks in very well- so much so that it's still working even after I've washed my hands. Like others have mentioned, I like this hand cream better than Lush's other choice- Helping Hands. This is a bit lighter and easier to use than Helping Hands, and the smell is worlds better. This smells like sweet almonds. My only complaint is that my hands are a bit lotiony/greasy for about 10 minutes after application, but it's so worth putting up with that to get a whole afternoon of moisturizing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Officially Smitten, April 27, 2008

I'm always on the hunt for a good hand cream that will provide effective moisturizing and then seal in the benefits. When I dipped my fingers into the dreamy summery yellow cream I could instantly tell this was going to be especially comforting.

Almond oil, calendula, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Linseed oil, Cocoa seed butter, avocado oil, wheat germ oil (may be the main secret), beeswax (the other secret to seal in moisture) and coconut oil are blended with floral extracts and perfumes. The scent is very mild with hints of sweet rose and warm almond.

If you love this for your hands, wait until you try the Fair Trade Foot Lotion! Both are equally impressive and the results last for hours and hours, even overnight. I'd recommend Smitten for the bedside table! You could even blend in more rose or any essential oils you prefer. The base is mild enough so you can experiment with fragrances to your heart's content. If you like this scent, Skin Sin may impress you with its healing chamomile and almond oil.

One of the main things I noticed with "Smitten" is that if you wash your hands later, say with Rock Star soap, the beeswax keeps your hands protected and you may not even have to apply more cream. If I was going to recommend only one LUSH product, and trust me that is difficult, I'd say try this one first.
