About the Author

Anders Hallgren, the Swedish animal behaviorist and psychologist, known as "Dog's Best Friend," has dedicated his life and career to bettering the life of dogs and man's relationship with dogs. Hallgren was one of the first dog psychologists in the world and started a school in dog psychology in Sweden in 1980. Known for his "soft" and positive training methods, Hallgren has worked with dogs, especially problem dogs, for nearly 40 years. His methods are now being used by professional dog trainers, dog schools and dog owners worldwide.

Anders Hallgren has written more than 20 books on various subjects related to dog training and dog behavior, which have been published in Scandinavia, Europe, Canada and the U.S. He is a much sought after lecturer and speaker and has been a guest on numerous radio and TV shows, as well as being featured in hundreds of newspaper articles. He divides his time between Ojai - California, and Stockholm - Sweden.
