This is one of my alltime Irish music favorites. I listen to this CD often and get new ideas each time I listen. Christy is like an Irish prophet. He tells us where we are going and where we need to turn back to. He has this uniques talent of combining the traditional Irish music with current events.

The song, "Burning Times" is my favorite Pagan song. My heart is touched every time I listen to it. I'll be buying more of Christy Moore!

I cannot lay claim to having heard all his albums, but I have quite a few. I tend to like the studio albums better because of the production values and he does not banter with the audience. That is fun but gets weary after a few times. Almost every song on here deserves four or five stars though they do tend towards the sad and solemn with a few exceptions. I have had this since it was first issued on vinyl and that album was a reference recording in terms of sound. This cd is also very well done and will sound great on a properly set up audio system. I just ordered Traveler and hopefully it will be as good an album. This one is an overlooked gem.
