I saw this video on sale at a local store before it was available on Amazon.com... I thought to myself.. there must be a reason it's on sale. Why so cheap!? After purchasing it and watching it numerous times, I still cannot answer that question. I only regret not buying it sooner! This is a fabulous DVD. It not only shows smokey being personal with the audience, but you get a sense of the man behind the great song library. (Did you know he wrote ALL those songs?) He's really incredible... If anything he's gotten better with age. If you are the slightest fan of his, make sure you pick this up and add it to your collection. I'm sure you won't regret it. I still enjoy putting it on as I work around the house and find I sit down and watch certain cuts over and over again. Watch how he handles the jealous boyfriend in the audience. And he does it without making anybody angry. The man is SMMMMoooooooth!

I have been a Smokey fan for many many years.I have a very large collection of Smokey's music. Over the years, I've been able to obtain his music from the beginning of his career with Motown. I had the pleasure of seeing Smokey perform in Pennsylvania. His concert was fantastic. His voice is unique, no-one can imitate his smooth style. Several months ago, I watched his performance on VHS(Smokey's Greatest Hits Live) performed in Las Vegas at the Desert Inn and I can truly say that his singing mesmerized me. It gives you the feeling that every song he sings is directed to you personally. I also have on DVD his Standing Room Only concert live from Atlantic City, New Jersey. Both are a must have. Smokey you are LEGEND of all time. We Californians' are truly blessed to have SMOKEY on one of our local radio stations, Let's get INTIMATE with SMOKEY. Love Ya!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having seen Smokey in concert, I can tell you that this video is the next best thing to being there. It fully capturesd the excitment of his performance. It also captured the personality of this most gracious man. I had the pleasure of meeting him back stage after his show and he is a gentle, very gracious, and humble man. This is a must have video/DVD. I often buy a concert video after seeing a performer. This was the first one that actually captured the high energy and spirit of the performer. Don't pass this one up. It is way too great to miss.

Don't waste your money on this DVD. Yes, Smokey gave us great songs, but in this Live DVD he sounded like he had a sore throat. And the audience was BORING..get the CD when he was in his prime. TRUST ME. His singing on this DVD is horrible.

This is the master song writer, singer, entertainer at his best!!! His voice resononates from the screen, drawing the viewer in and making them feel as if he is singing right to them. Truly wonderful and a must have for any fan of Smokey Robinson or even Motown.

And more than can be said about this man... THE MAN! Smokey may have aged as all of us who love him and his music, but he still can "wow" any of us. His voice, after he woke up (smile), cleared up and held up throughout the entire concert. His voice was simply unbelievable and powerful on the ballards. "More Than You Know" and "I Love Your Face" were so powerful and romantic that they can be used as "mood music". Smokey was and is a premier entertainer who has stood the test of time. I have had this video for over a year and I still love it! It is so good to have great music performed by a great entertainer! As a life long lover of this man and his music, I recommend this video/dvd for any of us who still love music we can understand and that makes sense and fosters love and romance. I only regret that there are not more like this one by this man. I had the opportunity to see him perform live again recently... in Memphis and in Philadelphia, MS... The Man Has Got It Going On!

I have been a Smokey fan since the sixties when he came on the
scene.The think what they did at Motown back then will never be
duplicated in any shape, form or fashion. Since Motown will not release footage of concerts from their former acts...it was really great to get this DVD. I play it all day on weekends and his CD's everyday on my way to work. I saw Smokey Robinson at the Resorts International in Atlantic City June 7, 2003 and he
still got it. His voice gets better with age and so does he. You
feel like you are the only person in the concert hall. I wish there were more concerts of his on DVD, I have the other one too.
Keep doing what you do BEST...Simply the Best.

I love this CD and of course Smokey. I have followed his career since I he first released Oooooooooo BABY. I've seen Smokey in person and concerts...This is the BEST YOU can get.

I have been blessed to see Smokey live on a number of occasions and this show does little to expose the real Smokey. If you just love Smokey then buy it, otherwise settle for the cd.

Smokey really out did hisself on this one,If you like smokey....You'll love this!!He is totally awsome in this. I felt like I was right there at the show.If you don't have it,get it!.I love it.
