I have not found anything to dislike in this book. Myron Mixon makes Smoking easy with this book. It will take you all day, but the results are more than worth it. I never had smoked BBQ like what I made following the easy to understand instructions. The rubs, injections, and glazes are easy to make. Follow the instructions, monitor the temperatures, and keep the meat moist and the results are fantastic! I do recommend this book.

These recipe's will win any cook-off with a smoker (make sure to cut time in half for electric smokers). However with this cookbook all the glazes and sauces will take up to two weeks to make so be patient. Myron has included very innovative ways to apply his seasonings to the ribs in this book. I do recommend to make all the sauces and glazes two weeks before any of these recipes are attempted. This book will satisfy your appetite.

Smoken with Myron Mixon is a great book that I picked up after catching up on the Pit Master tv show. Myron's great with his typical self but thats what we all love about him to begin with. His recipes are wonderful and must be tried. I am new to the BBQ grill and smoking but his eazy step by step plan shows you just what to do and how long it takes in each step to do it. Like the book says its BBQ don't make it complicated.

I have made several recipes from this cookbook and have been thrilled with them all! Several of the dishes I have made for dinner guests and received tons of compliments on the meal! One tip, Myron LOVES his salt! I prefer something a little lighter in sodium so what ever he suggests for salt content, I just cut in half. Meals are still really flavorful and I'm creating a slighter healthier version!

This is a great book when you desire to learn how to slow cook using BBQ tools that your own. I have tried three different meals meals so far and they have been a big hit each time. My wife really likes the potato salad on page 116. I will admit to making a small portion each time for any new meal and then altering the seasonings to my taste for a second or third try with Myron's actual printed recipes.

I have ready many many BBQ books in my day. This was one of the better ones i have read. I loved Myron's style of writing. Its like he is sitting there talking to you. I also really love the simplicity of a lot of his recipes. Alot of BBQ books i have read call for ridiculous spices that are hard to find or very expensive. I would recommend this to any backyard low and slow BBQ enthusiast.

Got this book for my husband he got a smoker for Christmas and wasn't sure how to use it are
how to season the meat. But this book is a must have we had our first home smoked turkey and ham
and they made your mouth water with flavor. So if unsure of how to get what you want this is the book
you need easy to use and now my husband can help in his own way to add to the meal.

This book has everything you'd expect from Myron. His book is not better or worse than Mike Mills book, "Peace, Love and Barbecue". It's a great read and entertaining. Experimentation is the key to success, not hoping someone does it for you by giving you a secret recipe. Don't be lazy folks. Take his advice and make your own recipe. By the way, there are no patents on recipes.
