Best Photo Guide for the Smokies, June 16, 2009
This review is from: The Smoky Mountains Photographer's Guide (Paperback)
Without question, this is the best book for anyone interested in serious photography in the Smokies. I've been to the Smokies more than 20 times - and this book is the ultimate guide. Bill Campbell and Nye Simmons clearly know the park and photography.
The book is organized by region of the park - being as specific as mile markers and other details to get to the best locations. For example, the books suggests the first turnoff on Foothills Parkway for a sunrise location, but goes on to describe how the scene changes according to the angle of the sun and time of year.
This book is occasionally available here at Amazon, but is available new at the Smokies gift shops. It can be picked up in person or ordered online.
