I bought my Smooth 5.0 treadmill almost a year ago, and it has provided me with many wonderful workouts and a great deal of satisfaction. For a treadmill that costs under $1,000, this one is truly high-quality and made to withstand lots of use. I'm very devoted to using my 5.0 treadmill for at least an hour everyday, and it still runs just as strong as it did the day I broke it in! Its motor runs so smoothly and quietly that the first time I worked out on my Smooth 5.0, I almost felt like it was going on foot power alone (kind of like the old Flintstones' car). And, I really like the fact that this treadmill folds, so that I can store it away if I choose. No, this treadmill doesn't come equipped with lots of fancy features. But, it has everything that I need and want in a treadmill, including controls on the handrails, so that I can make adjustments easily without having to pause during a workout. Smooth Fitness even backs this treadmill with wonderful warranties...better than the warranties on all the other treadmills I had looked into buying. I've had absolutely no problems with my 5.0, up to this point! It really DOES appear to be reliable, durable, sturdy, and built to last!

Picking treadmills can be overwhelming - so many brands and options. After lots of research, my wife and I decided on the Smooth 5.0 for four reasons: it's stable, quiet, reasonably priced, and doesn't have any unnecessary bells & whistles.

Smooth is one of the best brands out there for consumer treadmills. Other brands (Precor, LifeFitness) are geared towards commercial use (i.e. gyms). Granted, these treadmills are more durable and able to withstand much more use, but you also pay 3 or 4 times more.

The 5.0 is just as stable and even more quiet than the high-end treadmills I use at my work gym. While the belt length & width are a few inches shorter than the commercial counterparts, I really haven't even noticed.

The clincher: the 5.0 also folds up easily for storage and has a great warranty. Over the next couple of years, this treadmill will pay for itself in canceled gym memberships.

I fully recommend Smooth 5.0P to anyone! This company has reminded me that customer service in NOT dead and the product is great.
