Every single song on this CD is good. "Love's Train" has that unforgettable vocal performance. Alone, it makes the whole CD worth buying.

When buying whole albums, artists nowadays tend to run out of musical ideas about 1/2 way through the CD. And even for those artists that have a never ending supply of new ideas, you can tired of the same voices and the same musicians contained in a single album.

With this CD, neither of those things is an issue. If you want to set someone in the mood to get out of their clothes, this can be a critical tool in that quest.

If you are into classic R&B this CD is for you! From start to finish it is a winner. The selections are the SMOOTHEST ever and it keeps you wanting more.

Smooth Grooves Vol. 1 is bomb-bay. If you want to get your oldie collection off to a good start? Get this CD. The song's are classic's and must have's. It's also one of the better one's from the Smooth Grooves collection. The song list say's it all. So start your pimpin the right way.

Out of all the "old school" CDs I have: Smooth Grooves, Slow Jams Of The 70s,... Timeless Slow Jams and Between The Sheets volumes, this is the best compilation of old school jams that I own. The CD starts off with a live version of the Earth, Wind, And Fire's "Reasons" that's over eight minutes long. "Always And Forever" by Heatwave and "Forever Mine" by The O'Jays are tracks 2 and 3. Now tell me a better way to start an old school slow jams CD. There are other classics on this CD as well: "Love's Train" by Con Funk Shun, "Love T.K.O." by Teddy Pendergrass, and Champaign's "How 'Bout Us" are just more examples of old school classic slow jams on this CD. To any old school fan, it is a must that you own this whole Smooth Grooves Collection, Volumes 1-9.

Smooth Grooves: A Sensual Collection, Vol. 1 was an amazing start of a classic slow jams that new school couples and old school couples can appericate. The first track the classic Reasons (Live) has become a staple on my DJ mix tapes sounds better than the studio version. Track 2 is the always classic Always & Forever by Heatwave followed by the sentimental Forever Mine by The'O'Jays.

If you like classic R&B, this CD is for you. The title of the CD says it all. Grab your wine and your woman, throw on this CD and,...you get the idea.

I have enjoyed this CD very much. It is a great compilation of some of the best smooth grooves of the 70's. It was easily able to sing along with almost every song on this CD. There were only two obscure songs out of the thirteen that didn't quite fit in (Teena Marie and Patti LaBelle)and they are easily programmed out of the mix. I have shared this CD with my contemporaries and more than one have wanted their own copy. I guarantee a good time down memory lane with the help of the tunes on this CD. A good addition to your music library.
