5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Compalation That Takes You Back, October 18, 2005
This review is from: Smooth Grooves: A Sensual Collection, Vol. 7 (Audio CD)
Smooth Grooves: A Sensual Collection, Vol. 7 is another amazing set of classic slow jams. Volume 7 mainly deals with songs all concering some form of heartbreak. Sukiyaki,Love On A Two Way Street, Tears, Toast To The Fool are all truthfully with heartbreaking harmonies and ever singer is in top form. The song that stands out the most to me to Try Again by Champagin. The song is dire need of a remake by a capable artist like Jon B. or Brian Mcknight. Other stand out tracks include the classic baby maker Love You Down By Ready For The World. So light some candles, burn some inscense and break out the starwberries and go back to a time when love was love.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just the right CD for that special date, August 25, 2003
This review is from: Smooth Grooves: A Sensual Collection, Vol. 7 (Audio CD)
This one has the perfect collection of love songs. I remember Sukiyaki when it was first done in Japanese. They used to play it so frequently on the radio. I thought it was a beautiful song since I didn't know what they were really saying. When Taste Of Honey transalated it back in 1981, I saw it was about a love gone sour. The original singer did not ask for his rights to the translated version even though Taste Of Honey offered it to him. Try Again is also a great song that brings back memories. Yes, the group Champaign is from Champaign, IL.

This is a very good CD but I must admit that I bought it because I have been searching everywhere for a copy of Champaign's song "Try Again." It is nice that these CD collections are still available to purchase. Even with so much digital music many of these songs are hard to find online and this collection is classic. A great purchase for a good mood!
