Not enough saxuality, February 15, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Smooth Jazz Saxuality (Audio CD)
Smooth and easy listening with provocative blends of moods from sensual to entrancing. This CD has become a top end addition to a rather extensive collection; and has been regular listening ever since I first listened to Nelson Rangell's emotional renderings. Top Notch jazz mixed with appealing rhythums. Only disappointed their aren't more tracks or a 2CD offering.

Smooth, sexy, cool, relaxing ,jazzy and breezy., July 10, 2003
This review is from: Smooth Jazz Saxuality (Audio CD)
This is one very smooth CD featuring ten prime cuts from some of today's most popular smooth jazz saxmen. My only complaint is that there was certainly more time and room for four or five more songs, however.

"smooth as icing on a cake & just as sweet", February 16, 2001

Shanachie Entertainment strikes again, a ten track album to put you and yours in the mood of - "Saxuality". This compilation never strays from the main course - "ONE SPECIAL MOMENT", a Kim Waters and David Mann tune, gives you a light and floating on air feeling, just when you've been or meeting that special person in your life..."TONIGHT WE LOVE", Walter Beasley and Andrew Sherman leave nothing to chance, setting the mood for an evening of intimacy.
Of course there are stand outs - "A SOFT PLACE TO FALL", Nelson Rangell and Michael Colina perform their own composition, an arrangement that is simply intoxicating..."FOR YOUR PLEASURE", Walter Beasley gives Esposito/Rammer's tune the bossa nova treatment, weaving a latin rhythmic spell..."I WILL, I DO", another David Mann song - Nelson Rangell (alto sax), David Mann (keyboards, drum programming) and Larry Soltzman (acoustic/electric guitar), lets you dream your dreams to highest expectations, nice touch.
Our highlight is - "JUST FOR KICKS", Marion Meadows (sax), Michael Broening (keyboards/programming) and Thano Sahnas (guitars) - realxing-easy flow comes over you, nothing else matters - tranquility is evident, and you're all about it.
The gang at Shanachie, we say take a bow - Danny Weiss (executive producer), Jeff "Smooth" Young (production chief) and Tim "Jimmy" Perrins (production associate)...this is one to take home...a must for all "Smooth Jazz" collectors/buffs, and that is my FINAL ANSWER!
Total Time: 49:49 on 10 Tracks...Shanachie Entertainment 5079...(2001)
