This album is an excellent introduction to what smooth jazz is all about. All of the tracks showcase sharp instrumentation (plenty of solos) with impeccable modern production. Missing are the fluffy "R&B" vocal ballads and cheesy instrumental covers that bog down most of today's smooth jazz radio stations. Many of these tracks are original and creative with the most memorable being Chris Standring's "hip sway", with its soaring, irresistible hooks.

Highly recommended for smooth jazz fans.

This CD added some smooth jazz selections that would require me to buy three or more separate CD's. This was a money saving option for me. I like many of the tracks on it.
