Santana, you have some guitar playing that can be so smooth... I love this song! Every time I hear this song, I get it stuck in my head for a week. This song has one of my favorite guitar solos.

It has been over a decade since Carlos Santana made history, with Supernatural, and the historic win of 8 Grammys making it the record that won the most Grammy Awards in music history. There is no doubt about it when Santana and Matchbox 20 singer Rob Thomas made one of the most accllaimed songs of all time. The collaboration is still electrifying, and shows a standing that many duets and collaborations from Beyonce & Shakira with Beautiful Liar, and acts like Justin Bieber haven't been able to honestly strike as a home run with universal music buyers. If you haven't honestly yet owned the song from the record Supernatural, than you might want to get it again as a addition to your MP3 library, and that is just simply smooth.

Santana is a Latin rock god. From his humble beginnings in San Francisco to his musical explorations with John McLaughlin&the Mahavishnu Orchestra, Santana has traversed an amazing sonic landscape. Recently, however,he fell under the sway of Clive Davis,doing a Trifecta of Torment Duet Albums.

Santana's "Smooth" with Matchbox 20's Rob Thomas is a regular song. There are some Latin riffs courtesy of Santana,but it's the usual lament of "you're such a hot girl,why are you so cold to me?" To its credit,"Smooth" has beautiful instrumentals from Carlos Santana&it's got a rhythm. Rob Thomas' whiny growl (but is it singing?)&the cliched lyrics don't help an otherwise good song. The song's regularity is predictable. It has one long for the psychedelic rock of the Electric Prunes.

"Smooth" is boring. Check out Santana's "Abraxas" instead. It's named for a Gnostic angel... hardly cliche...
