Conventional wisdom today is that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables can lower the risk of heart disease, stroke and cancer. On top of that, such a diet can help us lose weight which lowers the risk of diabetes and other diseases. However, many of us find that getting the five plus servings of fruits and vegetables can be a challenge. That is not the case for me after reading this book. With 147 recipes from which to choose, I can follow my whim and the availability of ingredients on a given day to end up with a delicious smoothie. So far, I have only tried two of these, the Mint Grape Berry Banana Smoothie (#4) and the Raspberry Banana Smoothie (#55), but they were refreshing and both mint tea-based. I look forward to trying more and with 147 in total, it will be awhile before I run out of ideas.

Better than having a quick, easy to make snack on the go is knowing that the snacks I serve myself and my family are completely healthy. With 147 recipes, a wide range of ingredients and plenty of room for alternatives, my smoothie options have never been tastier. Most of the ingredients are common fruits, such as bananas, oranges and strawberries that are always in my pantry, but I also like trying new things. For people like me, there are recipes with exotic fruits such as kiwis, papayas and guavas. The short introduction notes that besides being yummy, the smoothies’ Low Glycemic Index helps control blood sugar levels by releasing sugar slowly. Quick, yummy and healthy—it doesn’t get better than that!

This book is pretty much what the title says. It's a book of over 100 delicious smoothie recipes. I've tried a few (the chocolate mint avocado strawberry smoothie is my favorite so far) and they've all been great so far. My only caveat is the book is titled "Help Me Lose Weight". From this title I expected to find some kind of strategy to use these great smoothie recipes to lose weight. This is not included. The author does point to other resources to lose weight, but these are not in the book itself, so be aware of that. Still, if you're looking for a little book filled with great smoothie recipes, you can't go wrong here.

Far to much of the food we eat today is laden with too much salt, sugar and other nasties. Most of what we eat seems to be processed or genetically modified.

Paul has come up with 147 different fruit smoothie recipes.

Drinking his smoothies ensures you get your daily requirement of nutrients and energy, promoting fat loss while doing it... good eh!

Of the 147 supper yummy recipes found, all fruits and salad vegetables are what we use everyday or can easily be bought. The instructions are clear, simple and easy to follow.

So, if you want flat belly instead of fat belly, I recommend this e-book to you.

There really is something for everyone in this book. I made a few different ones (including ones I may not normally) and the recipes for the most part easy to follow. Some odd combinations, but hey, they seem to work together

Fruit often stays in my refrigerator until I throw it out. "Smoothies for Weight Loss" has a wide variety of recipes. Many have common ingredients. Others have fruits I never buy, but are readily available. Some have ingredients that may be difficult to find, but I think it will be fun looking for them.

I made a smoothie while I read it. I am looking forward to trying as many recipes as I can.
