Product Description

Editorial Review

Scooby-Doo comes to life in the form of this 15-inch talking plush toy--and boy, is he hungry! Press Scooby's right ear to activate his motion sensor. He'll ask, "Who's there?" when he detects movement. Press his left ear and he'll begin hinting, then outright asking, for food. Act quickly and give Scooby a bite of his plush pizza or his cheeseburger (he knows the difference). Wait too long, and he'll start to quiver and howl, a sure sign he's having a "snack attack." A single snack won't satisfy him--he has over 50 phrases to draw from, many of which involve requests for food--so be prepared to give Scooby frequent bites of his burger and pizza or endure his vibrating hunger fits. Scooby requires three AA batteries, as the ones included are for demonstration only. --Elisabeth Fredrickson

I purchase Scooby for my nephey and he loves it. This toy is really cute and a lot of fun for the kids.
A special note: THERE IS A BUTTON IN THE BACK OF SCOOBY, IT'S LOCATED WHERE THE BATTERIES GO. THERE IS A SPEICAL SWITCH TO FULLY ACTIVATE HIM. ONE SWITCH IS USED FOR A DEMO WHEN HE IS IN THE STORE, THE OTHER SWITH IS FOR HIM TO BE ACTIVATED COMPLETLY. KEEP THIS IN MIND IF YOU PURCHASE HIM. I HAVE HEARD PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO MAKE HIM TALK SO THIS IS A HEADSUP.

1.0 out of 5 stars this snack attack is going back, November 4, 2001

I'm not sure if I purchased a defective one or not but I purchased this for my 3yr. olds birthday. She loves Scooby. Unfortunately, after pressing the left ear, just about all he says is 'yikes I'm having a snack attack' then he shakes all over. Fun for the first few minutes. Pressing the right ear to activate his motion sensor does nothing. I have waved my hands, and his pizza and burger near and all around and Scooby sits silently. He is supposed to acknowledge these two foods ('that's not pizza but I love burgers...'), but again, does nothing. The box claims he says 50 phrases, but I've only heard 5. Possibly he has a defective motion sensor? Not sure, but I plan to return it to the store and test another before deciding to exchange it or get a refund. It would be a cute toy if it did what it said.

I bought this item for my son's birthday and he loves it. Scooby says a lot of stuff and wil "eat" the pizza and burger when put in front of his mouth. Just remember to turn the switch in the back to play mode so he will say all of those phrases, it took me about an hour to realize this. my five year old and his brother have not put it down since.
