Product Description

GOURD: Plant gourds if for no other reason than because they're fun! They come in a delightful, wacky array of shapes, colors, and sizes and are sure to bring a smile when you harvest them. Many will grow up fences and trellises, which makes them even more interesting and dramatic.

Snake Gourd: Grow your own slippery snake! These unusual, light green, narrow gourds are fun and easy to grow, and can be dried and then painted however you like, stripes, spots, stars, whatever! Makes an attractive trailing plant, too!

Customer Reviews

I gifted these seeds and my Dad & Momma they loved them.

The seeds I received were NOT HARDSHELL SNAKE gourds ... they were LUFFA gourds.

These vines get huge, so allow a lot of room. The picture is somewhat misleading. The gourds do get large, but the ones in the picture are painted. They don't look like that naturally. Fast growing vine, big leaves, but I say again, make sure it has plenty of room. One of my vines grew 40 feet up a tree.

I got there for my daughter thinking it would be fun for her to grow, and not one of these seeds sprouted. They come in a little pouch with no info about the product except what it is; no date, where it was packaged, none of that. And you only get a few seeds to have fail. Disappointed.

I was disappointed to have large vigorous vines, but no gourds!
Maybe they didn't have what they needed from me, but the vines themselves
looked great. I will try something else next time and see if I have better luck.

I
planted a few odd types of things as a first time veggie grower, I thought this would be a conversation piece and keep away birds! I never saw any growth from the seeds!
everything else grew but not that.

I live the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming. I planted three of these seeds and shared the others with friends (there were many more than 5). Mine are wonderful. I didn't trellis them so they took over the ground. Beautiful heart shaped leaves with white flowers and super long gourds laying on the ground. Next year I'm planning more of these and have a nice long length of fencing I'm going to let them take over. This has been a great growing season for me and these are a really nice addition. Great ground cover and the ground out here is tough! Also, the vendor included specialty sunflower seeds and they are awesome! So tall with super thick stalks and one has already bloomed and is gorgeous! I'll harvest those seeds and enjoy them later. I'm thrilled to find a great source for seeds.

Very few seeds grew but those that did grow grew massive vines all over the place but no gourds. Waste of time and money beings you got very few seeds with no instructions.

Our seeds all worked out great! They all sprouted and grew easily. Our plants currently have too many flower buds to count and hopefully are getting fertilized. Looking forward to having our son paint the gourds and introduce our neighbors to this amazing and crazy plant.
