I read this book as a child when my fascination with reptiles was just blossoming. Now as a teacher and professional snake breeder, the book reminds me of why I was captured in its storyline and how it mirrored my own exploration of reptiles. A great read for students and adults alike.

This book is really, really great. It is funny, informative, and helps children to better understand and appreciate snakes. A good read for all pre-teens, and even adults who are interested or intrigued by snakes, or who have a child asking about getting one as a pet.
