5.0 out of 5 stars Great books for beginner reptile lovers!, August 10, 2008
This review is from: Snakes (Beginning Vivarium Systems) (Paperback)
This book is one of three written by Reptiles Magazine editor Russ Case. All three are extremely easy to read, full of useful information and a great introduction to the care & keeping of reptiles.

My teenage son has read all three and the only problem now is choosing what pet to start with! I can highly recommend all three.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect book for beginning snakekeepers, October 13, 2008
This review is from: Snakes (Beginning Vivarium Systems) (Paperback)
If you are curious about what it's like to have a snake as a pet, read this book. You'll get the complete scoop on different snake species kept as pets and how to take care of them. You'll also discover the many different myths and misconceptions about snakes. They really are misunderstood creatures!

The book has terrific photos and a fun design. The author is the editor of Reptiles magazine and really knows his stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Snakes, August 7, 2008
This review is from: Snakes (Beginning Vivarium Systems) (Paperback)
This is an excellent book for children interested in snakes, but also for adults who just want a good, easy-to-read overview. Nice photographs, too. I bought this for my friend's 9-year-old son. I also got him the author's other children's titles ("Turtles & Tortoises" and "Lizards"). This boy has lived in big cities all his life, and I thought he should learn about some creatures of the desert.
