Something Handy for When You're Bitten, January 18, 2011
This review is from: Snakes: A Golden Guide from St. Martin's Press (Paperback)
Ever wondered why snakes are seen as the root of all evil, and why they have evolved into such poisonous creatures? How about which snakes are poisonous, which have a nasty bite, and which are more scared of you than you are of them? Then Snakes is the book for you.
In a wonderfully compact edition from St. Martin's Press, this is a handy pocket book for any traveler who likes to visit different countries, or just go hiking around the countryside, because you never know when you'll run into a snake. There are even some on campus, though you probably won't find them in this book. With specific details on each snake, as well as colorful, clear pictures, it makes it easy to tell whether the snake that is about to attack you is going to bite and poison, or just bite, or wrap its coils around and the squeeze the life out of you.
