Great Bands = Great Album,
This review is from: Snakes on a Plane: The Album (Audio CD)
I really like the remixes on this album because I already love the songs by all the bands and it was nice to hear a different sound for them. I was just a little bit disappointed when only 3 of the songs were in the movie (and one of those songs was in the background)! But I think it is amazing and that you should buy it because it is well worth the money!

I have never heard of any of these artists or these songs so no original tracks to compare. Liked all the songs. Also enjoyed the enhanced extras -- they have the music video played during the closing credits of the movie, and my favorite, the short "Early Auditions" video. Dave Coyne does decent impersonations of stars reading for Jackson's role: Walken, Nicholson, Pesci, and Beaker. Poor Beaker, that was pretty good.

First I would like to state, that for months now I've been looking forward to this album, with my favorite artists being on this soundtrack- The Academy, Panic!, FOB, The Hush Sound, All-American Rejects, and so on; but maybe this was a bad thing, because the hype I had going into the album was a bit up there...
The first track of the album, is the best, and seems to be one of the only good ones on the album...All of the other tracks, which are amazing as their original version; don't seem to cut it with the remix. Most of the remixes include either a simple effect of a faster speed of the song mixed with some new beats, or a slower version of the song mixed with some new beats...I've got a few DJ programs that I've bought, and I've played around with it for a little bit, and I'm pretty sure I could create the same work as they did...and that's not a compliment.. Not ripping on any of the artists or anything like that, just think that the remixes were done poorly; and this cd isn't a must buy...The original cds for each of these artists though, are must buys...

This album is one of the best albums i've ever listened to & that says a lot since i've got a crap load of soundtracks. Every track is sometype of club mix & sounds excelent, sometimes even better then the original song itself. This cd is a must have!

Fun Movie Soundtrack for a Fun Movie,

This review is from: Snakes on a Plane: The Album (Audio CD)
For a movie like Snakes on a Plane, you'd expect the soundtrack to be just as goofy. The lead track, "Snakes on a Plane (Come On, Bring It)," is a fun start to an enjoyable album.
Many of the tracks are remixes that weren't really in the movie, but are neat anyway. Definitely recommended to anyone who likes pop-remixes, campy movies and fun music.

The album itself is ridiculously fantastic. The movie is absolutley way more than anyone on the entire face of the earth would ever think. The movie was really well done and it was a surefire action movie. It actually had parts when I was feeling queesy because of the suspense. My heart was racing a million times a minute.
That is what I define as a good action movie. This Album is what I would define as a great soundtrack, sadly almost NONE of the songs were in the movie. Still the CD holds up to the movie. The remixes are well done (All the songs except for 4 of them are remixes). FBR and New Line did a wonderful job compiling this CD. Most of the artists on the CD are signed under FBR (Fueled By Ramen) which is an independent recording label. I was really suprised about the track by The Sounds. Remixed by Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy. Very well done, I'm not sure if hes remixed before but it was good. Cee Lo also has a great song on this CD, its very catchy. All the songs have monsterous bass lines. Which is always fun to have. Snakes on a Plane was a fantastic movie and so is this Album, I would recommend this to people who have heard and enjoy FBR artists. Or anyone who likes remixes , its all it is. That damn Cobra Starship song is soooo damn catchy!

No need for the track by track review. Overall it's a good album. I have XM so I don't buy CDs anymore, but I bought this one at Target for 10 dollars.
Most tracks are good few ones that I skipped over. Good remixes of songs that you have heard a million times. I can't get any of the extra stuff to work on my computer.

Snakes On A Plane is going to be coming with something else????,
This review is from: Snakes on a Plane: The Album (Audio CD)
I love this soundtrack, the unclean version though. It has a bunch of catchy tunes. I wonder if the sound quality of the first track is suppose to be with less bass and solid sound? The song sounds undermixed all Teh Teh and not boom boom. Pick this cd up you can't go wrong it is a companion album to go with the movie if you love the film itself?
There is only a few songs on the cd that's in the movie though, like the first song. The song by Gym Class Heroes and Cee Lo Green and the last 3 songs. The reason that I said that Snakes On A Plane is going to be coming with something else is that I just found out from an email from Varese Sarabande concerning the image mistake on their Nanny McPhee front and back cover art is that...well find out below for yourself the copy and paste info from my email under the February 27th relase date: Coming Soon from Varèse Sarabande: February 13, 2007 Christopher Young: GHOST RIDER Original Motion Picture Soundtrack BT and Tommy Stinson: CATCH AND RELEASE Original Motion Picture Score Stewart Matthewman: THE ASTRONAUT FARMER Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Klaus Badelt and Ramin Djawadi: BEAT THE DRUM Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Scott Glasgow: ROBOTECH: THE SHADOW CHRONICLES Original Motion Picture Soundtrack JERRY GOLDSMITH: His Final Recordings Original Motion Picture Soundtracks 3 CD Set - STAR TREK NEMESIS / TIMELINE / LOONEY TUNES: BACK IN ACTION February 27, 2007 Mychael Danna: BREACH Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Trevor Rabin: SNAKES ON A PLANE Original Motion Picture Score Carlo Siliotto: NOMAD: The Warrior Original Motion Picture Soundtrack March 13, 2007 David Shire: ZODIAC Original Motion Picture Score |
